Beat Up Dudes In Akihabara, Sensoji, And Other Famous "Tokyo" Landmarks

Kenka Bancho Bros. from Spike Chunsoft (that new logo is slick!) stars two juvenile delinquents who punch their way through "Tokyo." Yes, "Tokyo" with the quotes since Tokyo is written with different kanji.

This alternate reality has… rather familiar landmarks. You can beat up guys in Akihabara, Tokyo University, Sumo Hall (Ryogoku Kokugikan), Tokyo Tower, Shibuya, and the famous Sensoji temple in Asakusa. All of those should be in quotes though!

Kenka Bancho Bros. comes out in Japan for PSP on June 21.

So “Tokyo” with familiar landmarks that aren’t in quotes, huh…? Aw well, color me pumped either way! I love me my Bancho beat-’em-up goodness.

Beating up people in Toudai? wow.

Never heard of this game before, but i swear i was looking at thread the other day and saw a game that looked exactly like this.

  • Even if it’s a day late, this is the best present I can give myself! I LOVE YOU SPIKE! But I REALLY wish they’d localize the last two games. :/

I was really itching to play this, but now that they’ve added a Kenshiro costume,I’ll be sure to pick it up.Nothing’s better than playing as the man among men.

… So “Tokyo: The thug beat-em-up” where you go through a bunch of well-known landmarks mixed up as the developer feels like, and fight other thugs.

I could get behind that. Especially if the rather bland main-deisgns can be spiced up with rasta-dreads and Kenshiro outfits.
