Metal Gear Solid HD Collection For Vita Set For June 12

By Spencer . May 17, 2012 . 10:40am

MGS2Vita-Screen1Konami announced Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will be available for PlayStation Vita on June 12. This compilation includes HD remasters of Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 with added touchscreen controls.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for Vita synchronizes save data wirelessly so you can continue your game from the PS3 release on the go.

Well, unless you want to play Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker? That’s not part of this Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. Only the console versions in North America and Europe include Peace Walker HD.

Check out this post for more screenshots from the PlayStation Vita version of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

Not having Peace Walker is killing this game for me.

I instead get 4 better games, while I play PW on my old PSP.

Dont get me wrong, it is a shame, but it is better that they took PW out, instead of considering to take one of the older games away.

More than this game, I cant stop but thinking about how great Zone of the Enders HD Collection is going to be though :D

Man, as much as I love MGS2 and 3, I don’t know if I could justify another purchase, even to have the games on the lovely Vita screen. Also, pricing it the same as the PS3 version is a bummer. I didn’t like Peace Walker much, but three games for $40 is a distinctly better deal than two for $40…

I think the price is fine, big fan of MGS 3 but can anyone remind me how MGS 2 was good? Last time I played I think I passed that bomb boss and was still stuck being raiden running away from things.

Didn’t have too much fun :( – does it get better? ie. solid snake chapters etc?

I’ll consider buying this if it got seperate trophy lists AND the original mini-games intact. I want to play some Ape Escape and MGS skateboarding, those were some of the post-game highlights!
