game1Tecmo Koei is working on a sequel to the Nintendo 3DS launch title Samurai Warriors: Chronicles. Samurai Warriors: Chronicles 2nd adds new generals Todo Takitora and Yagyu Munenori.

The main mode is a branching scenario with multiple endings. Players can see a flow chart, which shows the different paths. Samurai Warriors: Chronicles 2nd also has a mission clearing mode, which you can play solo or with friends. Tecmo Koei added online rankings so players can compare their performance to other players.

Samurai Warriors: Chronicles 2nd is slated for release on September 13.

I did like the launch title, but i got tired of it in a few days. Also, why did they refuse to localize Dynasty warriors Versus?

They chose not to localize Dynasty Warriors VS because it wasn’t good enough, content-wise. And even though I am a huge fan of these games, I can understand this. Let’s just hope Samurai Warriors: Chronicles 2nd will be localized.

mutiple endings by using a flow chart you can see (in game not online) is a cool idea since you usually are thrown out of the frying pan and into the fire with no help.

Branching story? Man that sounds really cool lol.

Nobunaga ruling japan and went to conquer china will be a very big attractive point for me lol.

I dunno if I’m up for playing the same thing again, but Samurai Warriors: Chronicle was far and away my favorite 3DS launch title.  I really don’t think I played a better original game on the system until Super Mario Land 3D.

    AWESOME !

Can we get dual-audio this time around too ? I kinda got bummed out by the lack of this feature.

Oh, and can you make Osaka Summer Campaign less cheap this time too ? It was a pain in the first game, mainly because the NPC you’re supposed to protect get attacked by 2 morale-boosted generals right off the bat… on normal mode, right at the beginning.

Long story short, you have your character, Yukimura, Kunoichi and Kai, who you cannot change starting positions on your first try just to remind you. You all star inside the castle’s walls, but 2 generals somehow got passed all 4 of you and made beelines toward the NPC who can get nurdered in just about 5 seconds. Furthermore, the zone you’re starting the mission is a negative morale zone, which means that you take more damage and the enemies take less damage and don’t get knockbacked by attacks.

I swear, that mission in Samurai Warriors 3 (Wii/PS3) is hard, but not as cheap as this one in Chronicles.
