I can see Han’nya and perhaps Sagara but Kanryu? What’s next,Megumi fighting by spreading medicine all around the place?Get real Namdai!Instead of giving fictional movesets for people who barelly had more than 3 pages of fight in the manga[and the only thing that happened was to stand behind a machine gun] and correct the existing ones.Seriously, get your priorities straight.

    • They added most of the characters that were in the main story line. Granted, Kanryu does not seem so necessary, but why not ? I for myself would like some filler characters from the Anime. They were quite interesting too :)

It’s like another member that comes here quite often,Aoshi, said.Even if one adds more characters to a half baked game or a shovelware,it won’t make it better nor lift it from it’s poor status. The first game already got pretty much all of the neccessary characters that needed to get in,with few missing[that could be replaced with others that didn’t even need to be in].If they don’t fix anything and just “update” with more characters it’s not going to get the audience going.

        • Well, he is an important character in the Kyoto arc, but I fail to see what his attacks will be.

          • Zenkaider

            Who’s the character in question?

        • KyoyaHibari

Despite being a sequel to Saisen, I doubt they will allow it to be the same heap of crap as its predecessor, I’ll refrain from getting it until I hear some feedback, but I doubt they will make it as bad as the first.

          • Zenkaider

Let’s hope that’s the case, but it’s Bamco we are talking about. It’s like saying Capcom doesn’t suffer from Capcom stagnation syndrome. But,at least Bamco’s got a lot of indpendent studios,so hope kinda exists.

Saisen crap? WTF, is the best game of kenshin of story! Kyoto Rinne is not a game, is a interactive movie.

If you want crap, play to the psx fighting game.

There’s a difference in being subjective and being adjective. Here KH is simply being adjective and points out it’s full of faults…which is the accepted notion. We never said we didn’t like it,we never said it’s bad subjectively. Most of us who complain about the game and it’s succssor bought it and loved it,even if it was because of nostalgia, but that doesn’t mean our judgement has to be clouded by those feelings and not point out the shortcomings shown in the game.

As for Kyoto Rinne,it’s a mix between 3D Fighting with some Beat’em up sections,it’s not an interactive movie. That kind of thing is Heavy Rain and Asura’s Wrath, there is quite the difference.

Well the last game didn’t have all of the Six Comrades which they should add, I don’t think Hiko was in the original CMIIW, and it would be cool if they added Kenji from the Reflection OVA, Raijuta’s false pupil Yutaro and some others. But why did Kanryu end up being one of the first characters announced, let alone be in the game…

    • Aoshi00

Seems like they gave him a handgun too in addition to his devastating Gatling gun :)  Yeah, not really expecting much either, this whole revival w/ bad PSP game and so-so OVA is a bit of a letdown.. the good thing about Kanryuu is I could hear Tobita Nobuo’s demented voice, and it would cool to see his messed up face when he loses like you said :)  The drawings for the PSP game were really horrible though…

      • Zenkaider

And they don’t seem to get any better…at least any time soon. It’s frustrating to see All Riders 2 get such an upgrade on the DS,so much that it looks almost like the PSP version of the same game,on top of having some massive updates and on the other hand, here no one can be assed to change the game “based on suggestions of players” as the article says.Either the players are much more lenient with this game,or this time Bamco completely dropped the ball for whatever reason.

    I wish to see Kamatari!

    • Kebo Martin

He was already in the first game so why not in this game. Yes, he.

      • komiko12

Kamatari, the scythe-wielding girl, is a he?

        • canarinta

Yup, he lifted up his kimono in the comic.

          • komiko12

It seems that I was a victim of the usual Gender-Bending Japanaese Characters.

    • d19xx

You mean the Prince of the Cosmos?

      • komiko12

No, I was referring to the scythe wielding dude who I thought was a girl. LOL

  • malek86

Kanryu? What does he do, run around with a mounted gatling?

    •  Maybe he fights a bit like Toshinden’s Vermillion?

      • Zenkaider

That seems like far too much of a privilege for someone as lowly as Kanryu. :D XD

    • Zenkaider

It’s not like he fought any other way.Wonder if his pose when defeated will be the same as in the manga, the good ol’ distorted face that Watsuki draws. :D

  • XYZ_JolteonZ980

I just started the franchise with the manga, Restoration, which has beem cool at chapter one. I will continue to folllow the game just to see images of how cool characters look in action doing the attacks in color and what not.

  • Oh man, Sagara is one of my favorite characters ever.

  • I remember his fight with this guy so well.  Man that was awesome.  Sniffle…thanks Toonami.

  • KyoyaHibari

I don’t remember Kanryu being a fighter, but w/e. I can’t believe they added Sozo though, that is totally BADASS, I love his character design, so sick.
