By Spencer . May 27, 2012 . 11:15pm

dokuroGame Arts’ second PlayStation Vita game is quite different from Ragnarok Odyssey. Dokuro is a platformer where you play as a prison guard who suddenly decides to help a captured princess escape. He can double jump and transform into a handsome prince that can carry the princess.

Dokuro will come out in Japan on July 5, but you can play 30 area before the game’s release date. A complete three stage demo will be offered via a download code distributed by select retails in Japan on June 6. Game Arts will also release the demo on the PlayStation Store in three chunks.

Stage 1 will be available on June 14. Stage 2 comes out a week later on June 21 and finally Stage 3 is set for June 28. Save data from the demos can be transferred into the complete game. Dokuro will retail for about half the price of a regular Vita game in the region – 2,400 yen ($30) in stores or 1,800 yen ($22) as a download.

  • Looks great hopefully  this wil come to the west to in disc form..wel.stick form..>_>

  • Peace Legacy

    I smell netorare ending

    • boundries_san

      Ehhh Why NTR ending???

      • Peace Legacy

Well, unless he can maintain that prince form for long period of time, the ending would most likely be unrequited affection.
The ntr is just my personal preference of how things should go after that (don’t mind me, I am not exactly the sanest guy around)

        • boundries_san

…… while i don’t want to said this,(I had more Ntr doujin than Vanilla lol.)^^

But in this case, the MC is both person here and for Ntr, the princess should already had loved someone first before changing into the other MC?

June 2012: Month of the Vita

    My wallet is ready.

  • brian yep

Do want in english, but will probably never happen.

    • boundries_san

      Remember Sony!!! Make Believe!!!

    • Herok ♞

even if it doesn’t happen the game seems simple enough to play with no knowellege of jp

  • Doesn’t look like a Game Arts title to me, but my head is stuck in the 32bit era when it comes to them (but with titles such as Lunar and Grandia, is that a bad thing?)
Well anyway, it’s a platformer, so better grab them while the console is young. These genres never last long into a generation (unless it’s first party stuff).

Anyone up for another Lunar remake for Vita?

Lunar: Harmonic Stories and Legends from the Silver Star COMPLETE

  • Solomon_Kano

I’ll definitely try the demo. I really like that art style.

  • Carocaro4

Hrmm. I don’t know yet. I’m totally liking the presence and kind of twist, I just hope the game can pull it off. I’m always drawn to these sort of platformers .

  • yellowmage

I know I’m not the first person to make this joke, but I think it has to be done:

I’d love to see an English version of this. Lovin’ DAT CHALKY ART STYLE. Seriously, the Vita needs imaginative, original stuff like this like it needs whatever constitutes the exact opposite of a hole in the head.
