New Class Of Heroes: Chrono Academy’s Comboriffic Battle System

cohca1While the other Class of Heroes games are first person dungeon crawlers, New Class of Heroes: Chrono Academy uses a traditional turn based battle system. Players select attacks and spells through menus. Enemies have weaknesses to different kinds of elemental magic like fire or water as well as types of physical strikes – slashes or piercing attacks.


Acquire also created a combo system for New Class of Heroes and it’s different from say Super Robot Taisen OG Saga where you juggle enemies. Players have to juggle the turn order so party members hit the same enemy. Combo attacks deal extra damage and it’s possible to get the combo meter up to 10 or even 20 hits.


Tired of enemy encounters? New Class of Heroes: Chrono Academy has an auto battle system where you pick an attack style and watch the fight fly by. If that’s still not fast enough you can hold down R and fast forward the fight.


New Class of Heroes: Chrono Academy comes out on July 19 in Japan.

  • Sounds neat to me! I wonder if the fighting will be very weakness centered. Combos are always welcome. I’ll have to see it in action in this case though, to see how well everything flows.
