    Well, that’s a surprise.

  • Arcm

Awesome, I was really hoping it would be DLC for consoles.

  • malek86

Depending on how they do it, I might just skip on the PC version and buy the DLC via 360 (which will probably be cheaper anyway). I’m hearing some rumors about the port being locked at 720p30, and only supporting the joypad… I hope they are false, but I can’t say I’m not worried.

    • popyea

Those are all rumors. The statement about resolution was about textures, not screen resolution. I think the locked fps might have been speculation on the fact that they described it as a “straight port”. And it supports keyboard too, though they recommended using a gamepad.

    • NetscapePizza

They won’t be recreating the textures so those will be the same res as the console. You’ll get sharper polys but textures will appear blurrier.

I’m sure it’ll support KB+Mouse… but you’re fucking crazy if you think that’ll be a good way to control it

    • MrRobbyM

I’ll be skipping the PC version if it’s locked at 720p. I can deal with 30 fps but higher resolution was my main interest for the PC version. Oh well. At least it’s the same exact game for everyone.

  • Whoomp

Expected, screwing with the customers who made the game popular in the first place by holding out extra content would be asinine.

Once again into the breach dear friends!

  • SirRichard

Could’ve got it on PC, but I really don’t want to deal with GFWL and honestly I would only be looking forward to this, if the rumours about the straight port are right. Either way, more Dark Souls glory is always welcome.

    • Domii

They said that a steam version will be available as well.

      • malek86

Availability on Steam doesn’t mean it won’t use GFWL.

  • MrRobbyM

Great though now I’m less inclined to get the PC version. I would really like to get the definitive version  of the game but I’m not sure if I want to sped $50 bucks for a game I already own. Hm.

Next time I hope they release or at least announce a PC version along with the console versions.

  • This is DLC done right. Hopefully the episode refers to all of the added content, and not just split in sections…

  • happy is not enough to describe what im feeling……..

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

    Music to my ears <3

  • Artorias:

    I am the black void
    I am the dark steel
    I am the abysmal sword

    • etc. etc. etc

      The end hasn’t come!

      •  It has, for I am Artorias! With blade in hands shall I reap the souls of this world and cleanse them in the fires of Chaos!

Cool but ever since Dragon’s Dogma came out, I can’t help but think that From Software and Bethesda really need to relook at their methods of programming ways to kill giant bosses. slashing at a dragon’s ankles as opposed to climbing up one Shadows of the Colossus style as DD does isn’t as epic anymore

    •  While I admit Dragon Dogma’s boss fights are pretty damn epic, Dark Souls boss fights are just pure adrenaline rushing!

“Oh gawd! Dying!! Need to get away and chug down some estus, okay, pretty far away!

… Ornstien and his bud. Oh the horrible memory’s.

  • Domii

This is lovely. Oh I can’t wait to meet my boy Artorias. I can already imagine all the laughs we gonna share while sitting in a bonfire holding his sword with his blood on it, and his dead body next to me… Oh let the fun times role.

    Saw this coming but: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=140S4LkQxxA&list=FLFJl4jeX4oJBcnchp4h9kMg&index=12&feature=plpp_video

  • Sweet, glad to hear this.

  • Praise the sun baby!

  • Tom_Phoenix

That’s great for console players (although, hopefully, it will be free).

Still looking forward to the PC version, though. I don’t have either of the HD consoles, so it’ll be nice to experience the game that everyone has been talking about.

    • Unfortunately the content won’t be free for the console gamers.

  • Yay! Thanks From Software! Looking forward to this.

  • I can’t wait! I knew From Software wouldn’t let their fans down :D! Plus Artorias looks down right amazing!
