Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch Arrives On January 22, 2013

By Spencer . June 1, 2012 . 3:00pm

In April, Namco Bandai delayed Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch from a 2012 title to early 2013. Fortunately, the wait for Level-5′s epic RPG won’t be too long. Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will be available in North America on January 22, 2013. The English version will have extra content, most likely the bonuses from Ni no Kuni: All in One Edition.

A new trailer gives us a taste of the English voice cast and it sounds pretty good so far!

     nooooooooooooooo
i wanted this game early this year now i half to wait another year to get crap!
oh well this game still looks good

  • Alexander Aubert

    still a long time…
BUT GREAT I CAN SAVE MY MONEY

  • XYZ_JolteonZ980

Right at the start of next year is quite epic. That is much faster than I thought. I guess this would peg Tales of Xillia for Spring or the Summer.

    • Solomon_Kano

That’s supposing we see Xillia. Provided we do, I don’t think the release date for this is anything to go by in trying to guess when that would release. That would depend on how far into the localization they are by the time they’ve announced it and other factors as well, so we really can’t hazard a guess til it’s at least been announced as coming at all.

  • Paradox me

Ni no Kuni, Metal Gear Rising, BioShock Infinite. Early 2013 is getting mighty crowded!

Really can’t wait for this though.

  • SirRichard

Hopefully Europe won’t be so long after it, though the gap between the US getting Graces f and us getting it is making me worry about this.

At least we’re getting it eventually.

    • Paradox me

       European release is January 25.

      • SirRichard

We’ll see how long that lasts.

        • badmoogle

          DON’T JINX IT! :p

  • AzureNova

Yes! So excited for this! =^_^=

(✯◡✯) Wow……they made it look like a Grade-A movie again. That was just beautiful. Looks much better than many Final Fantasy games that I seen and played, and it’s not even released yet! That’s how good it looks! My, I want this so bad, but so long I have to wait! My hunger for this game might not take it, but it shows how much time they’re working on it! Instant buy, and props to Level-5 for making such a glorious game once again!

    • badmoogle

Level 5 need to do a console Dragon Quest game again.Hopefully XI.

Or an old fashioned FF game with Ni no kuni’s art style.

      • Solomon_Kano

I wish either of those could happen. DQVIII was terrific, so a return to that on consoles would be awesome.

  • Solomon_Kano

So, so exciting. Level-5 have been my favorite RPG makers since the PS2 gen, and this is looking to keep them in that spot. I haven’t been too impressed by what few big JRPGs have come out this gen, but this is looking good enough to make up for that.
January isn’t too far off, so I’m definitely ready for this!

    • badmoogle

I was quite disappointed with WKC but it looks they will redeem themselves with Ni no kuni.

      • Solomon_Kano

After the poor reception it got, I still haven’t gotten around to trying WKC. I’ll do it eventually but, no matter how bad it is, they went on to do this so they can’t be doing too bad lol.

        • Anime10121

Dont do it to yourself, I beg you.  WKC was pure and utter crap plain and simple (but if you do muster the courage to try the game, hopefully you’ll like it more than I did…

          but I doubt it).

          • Solomon_Kano

Now I owe it to myself to try it, even if only to see how terrible it was lol.

  • badmoogle

    My wallet is ready.

  • Sperium3000

    Ooooooodowantdowantdowantdowantdowant…

  • http://www.facebook.com/JaeWhy SasuleUchiha

This year I start with FFXIII-2
Next year it’ll be this :D

  • Zonic505

Awesome, that’s not too far away, especially with their “early 2013″ guess. This will probably be the first game I get next year.

  • KHSoraKeyBlade

And Europe gets it on the 25th, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay~

  • Nitraion

    Beautiful *Rodin’s voice*

  • http://Gematsu.com/ Bruno Silva

Most expected release of 2013 :D The classic Jrpg this gen sorely needed!

  • scratchbach

I think it’s always good to have something to look forward to.

Luckily, this is definitely worth anticipating, so I don’t mind waiting…much.

  • Ravage27

Jan 2013 is a good release date tbh, at least Namco got that right this time :p

  • http://twitter.com/sakurairomemori Alphabet Soup

Dude, it looks like “playing” a Ghibli movie!  It looks like Studio Ghibli did well with their first game project.  I’m definitely excited for this one.  I wonder if John Lasseter will appear before the game like he does on the Ghibli DVDs now.  “You’re about to start out on an exciting journey from my bro for life Hayao Miyazaki’s studio..”

  • http://twitter.com/mao2222222 MAO

The English voice acting is surprisingly good!

  • davidvinc

This looks a million times better than Xillia 2.

  • Göran Isacson

I now not only like the look of this, but even the sound of it! Script was a bit cheesy though, and I haven’t seen a Ghibli film with such an obviously eeeevil-looking antagonist since… probably Muska, so that’s kinda weird. Still, I have high hopes for this one. Prove to Miyazaki that games can be just as moving as his movies, Level 5! (if there’s even any chance of convincing him at this late stage in life)…
