Oh My Gooness! Hori Made A Dragon Quest X Slime Keyboard

By Spencer . June 1, 2012 . 12:30am

… that was a Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime joke and if you didn’t get it go play Rocket Slime it’s a blast.

Back to Dragon Quest X, arcade stick maker Hori created a special USB keyboard for Square Enix’s online game and it looks more comfortable to use than the PS2 slime controller. Details like the smiling slime face on the space bar and roman numerals for the number pad are a nice touch.

You can remove the slime figurines from the function keys too.

The 3,990 yen ($50) slime keyboard also includes a code that gives your Dragon Quest X character two Spirit Spheres. These items double the amount of gold and experience you get for 30 minutes.

Dragon Quest X and the slime keyboard come out in Japan on August 2.

  • Ben Sylvia

    Holy slime armaggedon!
Poor gamer want keyboard badly! :(

  • Ereek

That is just about the cutest thing of all time.  I’m not sure what I feel about the Slimes on the function buttons, but since they’re removable I suppose it’s not a huge deal.

I’m also fonder of higher raised keys.

    Me…want…now…XD

  • komiko12

    Ohh. Cute…
I hope that the letters on the keys won’t fade easily

For a second I thought this was saying that Yuji Horii made himself a specialized keyobard.

Soooo Cuteeeeee!!!^^ however while this looks cool, i wonde if i can use this for Wii U or my 360 here? As i would use them for playing MH Frontier more than any PS3 game here.

      Don’t forget the iPad! :P

And yes, I do intend to use this as my main keyboard, once I get an iPad. :3

  • ZEROthefirst

  • MrRobbyM

If this came here in a US format I would totally get it even though I will not be using it for DQX since I refuse to pay monthly to play it.

    • revenent hell

      yeah tottally ditto.

  • Zefiro Torna

Loving the other little details too, like the 8-bit font and the stairs on the “Esc” key. You can almost hear the sound effect by just looking at that key.

    • Covnam

Agreed. The 8-bit is a nice touch and something that could have easily been over looked.

Comes with 2 items that double EXP and gold for 30 minutes. Why does it sound like it’s hinting at DQX possibly having a cash shop.

    • http://www.cubiz.x10.mx/ Auragar

      Because it probably will.

All I know is that this Keyboard speaks to the nerdiest parts of my soul, and it speaks this: BUY ME BUY BUY ME BUY ME

And I hear. Oh, how I hear.

  • Andres Pena

DOES WANT ill even use it for my laptop <3
