All Of Those Hours With The Etrian Odyssey IV Demo Won’t Be Wasted

By Spencer . June 4, 2012 . 8:30am

imageAtlus announced they will release a downloadable demo for Etrian Odyssey IV in Japan. The demo saves your data and that file can be transferred into the full game.

A release date has not been announced for the demo, but it’s probably not too far away since Etrian Odyssey IV comes out on July 5.

I do like it when demos let you transfer your progress to the full game.

Is this something demos tend to do these days?  Because I stopped playing demos sometime in the 32-bit era because this never happened.

A couple PSP demos did this. Off the top of my head, I know Phantasy Star Portable 2 and Lunar: Silver Star Harmony did it.

PC demos do it fairly frequently, too. Everything by Spiderweb Software, both Eschalon games, plenty of other things.
