Definitely picking up Lollipop Chainsaw and Gravity Rush, and now that I have time and money I’m definitely going to catch up on Mario Land and Uprising for my 3DS. About time my handhelds get some love, my PS3’s been hogging my attention for the last week or so.

I look forward to seeing what P4G does to help with Vita hardware sales. Looking forward to Gravity Rush, personally.

To everyone picking up Lollipop Chainsaw, I hope you enjoy all that rainbow cheerleading goodness. b^^

    • FitzpatrickPhillips

Less than 24 hours remaining for Lolipop Chainsaw! I’d get Gravity Rush too but I don’t wanna be “too” crazy with money at once :(

      • usagi_san

I really do hope you enjoy Lollipop Chainsaw cos I’ll be expecting you to be writing a lot of positive things about the game like you’ve done with Code of Princess. :D

My money is tied up in various titles to come out through the rest of this year. So, price drops or other special offers will be the only time I’ll be picking up Lollipop Chainsaw anytime soon. Also, like you said, not wanting to go “crazy money at once”.

        • FitzpatrickPhillips

Hah, I have no doubt that I’ll enjoy it to the fullest. I’m sure you’ll enjoy CoP when it hits the US too!

Make sure to keep watch on Amazon! I’m sure they’ll have some sort of deal going on with Lolipop Chainsaw soon enough.

          • usagi_san

I’m not from the States, I should of made that clear instead of assuming people know. I’m from the UK. I hope Code of Princess comes to the PAL regions.

In the UK, Amazon are offering the Goth and Rockabilly DLC exclusively. If most of the other skins weren’t already on the disc, I would’ve pre-ordered one.

Doesn’t look like the summer game drought is hitting this year.

  • Aoshi00

Pre-ordered Lollipop Chainsaw Premium Ed. and Robotics;Notes for 360, can’t wait :), but broke now *.*..  US ver would’ve been much cheaper though at $45.. but I want the extra voices & costumes :) don’t care much for Root Double..

Can’t believe Gravity Rush is finally here, really haven’t touched my Vita at all all these months..

  • Akai Ringo

Does anybody have any information about this ? This is the ASIA version of Lollipop Chainsaw… it says that it has Japanese voices and “English Subtitles”… In the past, i’ve purchased the ASIA “Chinese/English subtitled” versions of FFXIII and FFXIII-2 on PlayAsia before…and they’re legit. They have full on original Japanese voice acting, and english text all over the rest. So i’m wondering if i can depend on this version of Lollipop Chainsaw to the be same… because i LOOOOVE KITAERI…. o_o

    • Aoshi00

If I have to guess, I think it might be the same as the Jpn ver w/ only Jpn text, unlike FF13 or 13-2 which are official HK release, usually only really big release have Chinese or Eng. subtitles.  There are many other games that have an Asian ver but are not different from the Jpn ver at all except being cheaper.  The Premium Ed has 3 ver of voices (Eng & 2 Jpn) right off the bat though, w/ the unlockable code for alternate voice & costumes.

      • Akai Ringo

thanks for the heads up, Aoshi! oh boy its hard to decide then either way… i know that there’s some weird thing with Hikasa Yoko being Juliet in addition to Kitaeri… i wouldn’t like to get a version where i couldn’t access both of their voices (although if i had to choose, i’d have to choose Kitaeri since she was Ami in ToraDora)… I guess i can read enough Japanese to get through an action game… ah i would go ahead and just buy the Premium Ed. like you…if my true priority wasn’t to preorder the HD K-ON game T-T . i’ll end up buying those two games at once from playasia… but HD K-ON on ps3 definitely gets my money priority! ack maybe i should do some extra overtime at work so i can just buy it all….

        • kroufonz

usually if play asia listed it as languange japan and sub english then it will be true, if the game is just a japanese asian version it will be only listed as languange : japanese without mentioning of subtitle at all.

in playstation asia site also mention that languange : japanese/english

and i believe afaik in japanese version you can access both kitaeri and youko voice, it’s unlockable just one of the voice not available from the start in the standard edition of both 360/ps3.(in premium edition it’s available from the start).

      • Barrit

I was wondering the same thing as Akai, glad I checked this post :) For future reference, how can you tell it isn’t an official HK release? Is it because it doesn’t have the typical Chinese/English subs?

        • Aoshi00

There aren’t that many Asian ver w/ Eng. language.  So, like kroufonz said, unless it’s specified, say on Play-Asia’s page, as Asian ver (Jpn language) or Asian ver (Eng language), the cheaper Asian ver is most likley exactly the same as the Jpn game.  Most JRPGs don’t have that either except FF13, like I remember some wanted to import Catherine w/ Eng. text and Jpn dub, but there’s no such ver.. anyway, my premium ed. just shipped, hope it’s worth it, can’t wait :)

    • igotareallybigthingwithcars

the english subtitles on the chinese/english subtitled FFXIII and FFXIII-2 are chinglish

    • Barrit

I’m not sure if you ended up buying this version, but I got it off of eBay for cheaper than Play-Asia. I’m testing it out right now and everything is in English. The menus, subtitles, and voices. The back of the case says it has Japanese voices, but I think you have to beat the game to choose that option, if I remember correctly? I don’t even see an option for voices yet, but the manual shows it, as well as the English “Operating Sheet”. I redeemed 2 vouchers that came with it (Extra Bonus Pack (1000 zombie medals) and the Premium Pack (I think this unlocked the “Zakuzaku ver. (foreign-style hardcore violence)”) When you start a new game, you can choose between that version and the Kirakira version (mild violence). I’m glad I took a risk on this. I thought all the in-game text was gonna be in Japanese lol.

    He what now?

  • z_merquise

Dang it! It’s already June 12 here and our local game store still don’t have Lollipop Chainsaw (could be because it’s holiday in our country).

While Gravity Rush was released here days ago (without me knowing it) and now, the R1 copies of the game sold out! (ouchies!)

Anyway, I’m glad Lollipop Chainsaw is getting a lot of positive reviews in many game review sites. Same for Gravity Rush. Just made me more excited to get them.

    • igotareallybigthingwithcars
