In Persona 4: Arena, Teddie Is Labrys’ "Knight" And Naoto Is Tailing Mitsuru

By Spencer . June 13, 2012 . 4:07pm

Persona 4: Arena features characters from Persona 4 and Persona 3. It seems like Naoto is the link between the two groups because she’s been trailing Mitsuru. OK, but why is Teddie fighting his friends then?

After Yu left Inaba in Persona 4, Teddie kept busy by working at Junes. One day he can’t find Yosuke, so he dives inside the TV world to go look for him. Teddie lands inside a strange classroom with cleaning equipment nearby and uses the items to pull of a MacGyver worthy escape. He meets Labyrs and is awestruck by her beauty and offers to become her "knight." Players will run into a suspicious dude with a red cloak and a "celebrity beauty" in Teddie’s tale.

Meanwhile, the brilliant detective Naoto has been trying to sneak inside the Kirijo Group (dressed in her usual outfit?!) after a man who knows about personas contacts her. Naoto follows Mitsuru and both of them end up in Inaba…

Teddie and Naoto are playable characters in Persona 4: Arena. After pulling off an awakening you can use their most powerful special attacks like Naoto’s Judge of Hell… and Teddie’s attack where salutes his persona as it explodes with his opponent inside.

    Bring it. Bring it NOW.

  • Interesting, I’m really excited to play through both of their stories now. Mitsuru was my favorite female character in P3 and Naoto is my favorite female character in P4, so I’m very intrigued with how they’ll interact with one another.

Cannot wait till August 7th when I can pick this game up!

  • DFO players will be calling Naoto’s finisher “Neil the Sniper!” At least I will. xD

    • Anesia Hunter

it does remind some of us of neil the sniper.

  • DongT

that guy driving the car looks like officer kurosawa from p3

    •  Yup.

Somehow, can he be the real culprit?

  • Strain42

I’m still like 98% sure that man driving Naoto around is Kurosawa. They look so much alike. I’m actually gonna be annoyed if that’s not him at this point.

    • Who’s Kurosawa may I ask?

      • axelfire250

He’s the cop from P3 that sold equipment.

  • AuraGuyChris

*Oh noes, Teddie can’t find Yosuke*

Teddie: *Angry expression* To the TV World! *Jumps into TV*

Yosuke: *Comes out of the bathroom an unplugs earphones* Where’s that damn bear now?

Seriously, Teddie’s jumping the gun in the real story. That’s his attitude, but still…

    • *Comes out of the trash can and unplugs earphones*

      • P4G OP. Yosuke dance. LMAO!!!

    • Did Yosuke peed?

  • AnimusVox

    Mitsuru in shades <3

  • From what the Personaeurope PR person was saying, this game’s story mode could literally be 20+ hours long. That sounds crazy and I’m not sure if I even believe it or that I EVEN want it to be true. It sounds ridiculously ambitious, though, if it is.

    • If I’m remembering correctly, Blazblue had a massive Story Mode as well (I’m not sure if it was 20 hours though). So, with Arc System Works behind the game, I wouldn’t be surprised.

      • Atlus’ Persona team is writing the story not Arc System. I would have zero interest in the story mode if it was ASW. they can’t write a coherent plot to save their lives.

And Blazblue barely managed to scratch a couple of hours.

        • raymk

Um BB story from the first game could last up to 10 hours if you did everything in it.  Also depending on who you are it may not take that long.  For example the majority of games that people say are over 40 hours I usually beat in like 20 or 25.  Likewise the story could be 20 but only for people who probably can’t play the game or what not.

From what I can tell even though atlus is writing the plot the way you play story mode still looks the same so it’ll probably still be about the same length if your good enough.  Its not like the story for this game is going to be all that anyway and its mainly going to be fan-service so it may not even be better than BB’s plot if you take it to seriously.

        • Luna Kazemaru

A Read phase-zero there you go bb’s back story explain shocks me people still don’t understand it after cs’s true end basically explained it.

        • Speedo Redempteur

except that the plot in Blazblue make sense if you see everything and pay attention

    • boundries_san

Well king of fighters also had in a way lots of story for each team. But if they are able to give 20 hour story, this will give gamer who love story especially bb fans to try this game.

  • Samurai_Heart

Gotta love that Teddie salute XD, ah can’t wait to play this even though I’m average at fighting games =p

    • boundries_san

U know…… I dont know why I suddenly remember old tom and jerry cartoon lol.

  • Nameless App 1989

I’m not the only one thinking this, admit it.

  • Natat

Actually, you don’t need Awakening State to use their Instant Kills. You do get an extra Super in Awakening State though.

  • Something suspicious about that guy who know Persona.

One who threw Labrys into the TV world?

    • Will it tie into the Persona x Detective story?

  • Metalsnakezero

Two of Persona’s dangerous ladies in the same vehicle, that must be some tense atmosphere in there.

    • They do have a special intro if they’re pitted against one another.

If Yu’s in there…. Oh my.

    • boundries_san

Man…. That will be one scary car to ride lol.

    • I assume the atmosphere will be srs, until you saw Mitsuru wearing a spy catsuit.

  • boundries_san

    Labrysss…….. I melt.^^

  • Shadowman

You gotta admit Labrys look kinda cute.^^

  • Teddie….
    You’re awesome…
To kill your enemy OHKO with fire-cracker style lol….

  • Freesun4

I’m sorry Teddie but it takes a lot have the same charm as Yu-sensei. Yu could even make Yosuke extremely confused in the anime using just his face. XD

  • vivaluis59

    Looks really nice

  • scratchbach

Teddie is pretty much the only character I’ll ever need to use. It doesn’t even matter how he plays, or if he sucks. Teddie Teddie Teddie.

  • Setsu Oh

that ep in p4 was so sad.
    the one foreseeing the future

  • I must’ve seen that salute image from the Instant Kill video like a hundred times, but actually looking at the picture is the FIRST time I noticed Kintoki-Douji giving a thumbs-up to Teddie’s salute.

  • Locklear93

Hmm… Labrys accepted Teddy’s services instead of trying to kill him on sight for being so irritating.  Well, now I have a reason to pummel Labrys. <_<

  • neetyneety

Oh god, that screenshot of Teddie saluting is worthy of one of those army recruitment posters.

  • canarinta

    “Man who knows about Personas”

Hey officer Kurosawa, I didn’t expect you here.

  • Teddie, its good to see you trying to be a PIMP, but Yuu have the PIMP arcana….. Also, flattened Teddie looks cool this time around.

    -Mad Lib Dialog Time!-
Teddie: Hi there sweetie, want to go for a date?
    Labrys: ………..Umm, oky?
    Teddie: *Happy flowers*
Mitsuru and Aki: NOT SO FAST!!

Mitsuru: Square, don’t tell me you are sneaking into our company with DAT outfit?
Naoto: Says someone who wears spy catsuit with fur coats PUBLICLY.
    Driver: SHI—-

Gotta loves those glasses, Mitsuru stomach kick lk a boss, Naoto lock-on and Teddie attack. So much WIN.

  • Hinataharem

I hope that is Kurosawa in that car. That means we might get cameos from other characters, and see how they are doing nowadays.

  • Anthony James Moffett

According to an in-game screen (UI, top left), it seems like Mitsuru can assist your character like Rise. That’s awesome! needs more timeskip-afied Fuuka though. That would make my day.
