Atelier Ayesha Travels To The Ends Of The Earth For A Flower

By Spencer . June 19, 2012 . 1:10am

Gust shared a few details about Atelier Ayesha’s friends. These three characters aren’t playable, but they will support Ayesha during her adventure.

Kyle Tarenbert runs the successful Horn Helm bar. People from all over travel and sometimes Kyle overhears rumors. He’s pretty much acquainted with everyone in town including Juris, one of Ayesha’s traveling companions. Juris and Kyle go way back to when they were kids.

Odileia looks like a fairy, but she’s actually a mechanized girl. She works inside the Library of Alchemy, which Ayesha will visit during her quest. Odileia starts out with a robotic personality, but gradually gains bits of humanity from interacting with Ayesha.

Tanya Folta lives with her family in a faraway salt desert. She dreams of giving up the rural life and moving to the big city. Ayesha becomes acquainted with Tanya when she helps her find a flower.

Aww, damn! I was hoping Odileia was going to be a party member. Ah well. ;(

Loving the designs of everyone so far!

  • Those designes are simply stunning, look at the modelling it’s so detailed, the colors are vibrant but not too visually obtrusive. If some of the environments are like that as well… this might also be a first day buy.

The new “style” without the artworks isn’t really to my liking but I can’t deny that since Meruru Atelier’s presentation is absolutely stunning and the battlesystem is the most fun I had in RBB games.

That’s something I really love about it so far especially; how bright and lush a lot (most!) of it seems to be, but without clashing or being blinding. It’s a really lovely, effective color palette altogether.

Almost 28 of june can’t wait @[email protected]

Odileia looks like a fusion between hatsune miku and pamela ibis, pretty cool design
    Too bad she isn´t playable

  • Alexander Aubert

i can see some of this character will become a dlc playable character

  • Ravage27

I’m already in love with the new gameworld :3

  • I’m loving everything I’m seeing so far. I can’t wait until it gets localized =^_^=

  • (●´⌓`●) Another dress I want~ Can NOT wait for this game. *sigh* But I know I must.

  • puchinri

Oh, goodness. How is it that every character so far seems so fun and charming? I love everyone’s designs again too. >u<

Kyle is just so handsome, and it'll be fun to see him and Juris interact if we get to much. I really like Odelia's design too; it'll be great watching her develop.

Tanya is absolutely adorable too, and I think it's interesting and awesome that for once, a dark-skinned character has dark hair. (I know, weird quirk to notice, but I like the combo!)

GUH. I really want to import this, especially for the World CD it comes with, but I need to save that money for games coming out here. TTuTT
    Whyyy~!? Hopefully we get the CD too when it gets localized. . . ;u;
    Please, NISA~.

Also, already decided; next con, totes gonna cosplay me some Ayesha. ♥

I miss the colorful, vibrant 2D style.

    • puchinri

Are you talking about the classic games? They do look really fun, bright and seem to age well to me. I appreciate the look of both.

Hopefully more games in the future will implement more of the classic style~. It’d be great for the handheld titles to do a cleaned up variation. (I haven’t looked at much gameplay of the current handhelds to know if they do or don’t).

      • l777l

        Yes, the PS2 titles.

        • puchinri

Ah, I thought you meant the PSX (and then later) titles.

Well, Ayesha at least keeps up with the bright colors and fairly bright world, but it’s true that this world isn’t as bright and such as the PSx+ and portable titles. But maybe that will change too in future titles~.

  • Draparde

This game is looking better and better each time i see it xD

  • WyattEpp

I think I’m falling in love with the fluff of this game. Airships and mysterious clockwork people and a library of alchemy, oh my!

  • How you doin’ Tanya!
