Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy DLC Songs Are Final Battle Flashbacks

By Spencer . June 24, 2012 . 11:43pm

We’ve seen Square Enix release Theatrhythm Final Fantasy downloadable content since the 3DS game came out in February. We might be near the end since this week’s round of DLC has three final battle themes. Reminisce about fighting Necron or killing the Undying with these Theatrhythm Final Fantasy songs.

Final Fantasy VIII – The Extreme (BMS)

Final Fantasy IX – The Final Battle (BMS)

Final Fantasy X – Gustaberg (FMS)

Final Fantasy XII – The Battle for Freedom (BMS)

I think you meant to put FFXI for Gustaberg :)

Was The Extreme not on the original tracklist?

WELL THEN. I know at least one track I am without a doubt buying once I get Theatrhythm. =|

Mmm… How nostalgic to hear the sexy moans in Necron’s music.

This freaking is so good. I didn’t expect it to be so much fun. I’ve played the demo like 20times by now with 10 left :(

These DLC songs are free, yeah?

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

…… nope…. you need to pay for them.T_T

      • FitzpatrickPhillips

Damn. That’s gonna be a problem.

        • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Well at least the game inside is full on song already. It is only if you want some song that you like there.^^

          • FitzpatrickPhillips

That’s true. I hope those JP Nintendo cards don’t cost much.

          • aoihana

You don’t need Japanese Nintendo cards, you can use your credit or debit card, and it should work just fine. I’ve used both my credit and debit card to buy from the Japanese eShop. The songs are 150円 each, or about 2USD. (◕‿◕✿)

       Usually $1 a piece

I wonder how we’ll see them released in the US? Will they spread these out for as long as they did in Japan? Because I need The Battle for Freedom.

Every time I see Theatrhythm characters they remind me of an awesome Once Upon a Pixel episode of “Hay Ashley Whatcha Playing”.. except not as cute, even a bit creepy.. these faces, and eyes, ugh
Anyway, love japanese rhytm games (even if I’m not that good at them, lol) so totally getting this at some point later – for now I’ll let SEGA rob me with Hatsune Miku F

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

All of this is just example of nostalgia attack to my ears lol.^^ Why can’t this game faster here.T_T

The Extreme is my favorite final fantasy battle theme, and one of my favorite songs from the FF universe as a whole. I am definitely getting it once I get the game!

    Gustaburg is FFXI D:

  • Jack Frazee

Hell yes, Gustaberg! One of the best tracks in the game, and the one for the wilderness of my home nation of Bastok. <3

  • aoihana

I’m loving all the steady DLC for Theatrhythm, I’ve yet to get my hands on it, but it’s reassuring knowing all the additional content that will be available when I do!

Is Battle with Seymour from FFX in the game? It’s one of my favorite ones.

    • Travis Romano

      Yup. It is.

  • Steven Heryanto

The DLC list includes songs that the staff had wanted to put in the game but couldn’t fit due to (3DS game card) capacity limitations. Square Enix hopes to release over 50 songs as downloadable content. This is ridiculous, player must pay for what Nintendo cannot provide (decent cartridge capacity). For those who purchased all DLC, SE will get at least $50 (assuming $1 for one song).

Did the demo come state side? I thought it did but I looked in the e shop Kh was there but not this.
