Kirby Fans Are Going To Eat Up This Dream Collection Trailer

By Spencer . July 3, 2012 . 7:23pm

For Kirby’s 20th birthday, Nintendo is packaging a bunch of classic Kirby games on one Wii disc. Kirby’s Dream Collection: Special Edition includes Kirby’s Dream Land, Kirby’s Adventure, Kirby’s Super Star, Kirby’s Dream Land 2, Kirby’s Dream Land 3, and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.

At 1:30 in, the video shows some of the brand new challenge stages made just for Kirby’s Dream Collection. These are similar to the bonus areas from Kirby’s Return to Dreamland where you try to get a high score. Kirby’s Dream Collection also has highlight’s from Kirby’s entire history like his anime series and includes a soundtrack CD plus booklet with even more information about the copycat hero.

Kirby’s Dream Collection comes out on July 19 in Japan and September 16 in North America.

  • This collection is a must in my library. Havin’ so many Kirby games in one package can’t be beat. Happy Birthday Kirby, 20 years is a great accomplishment.

  • Herok♞

I wonder how many episodes of the anime it will have and all I can say is this is a wonderful package.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

….. I will surely bite this 20th anniverseary version here.^^

  • AnimeRemix

Funny how it comes out on my birthday in Japan… This could of made a great b-day gift if it came out that day in America. =D

After watching this video, actually kinda makes me want this more… Kirby history is in the game, clips of the anime, and the challenge stages at 1:40 seem very fun!

  • MrRobbyM

Woah. I remember the Kirby anime. Short lived but I loved it.

I’ll definitely be getting this collection. That box/cover art is pretty sweet too.

  • Zonic505

Oh wow, I’m liking that there’s more bonus stuff than just that time line.

Now, can we get some of that Club Nintendo stuff they showed near the end?

  • I can’t wait to get this and play crystal shards again!! :D

    • LittleMofreaky

      right back at ya!

  • ShinStar

It’s a nice collection, but I really wished some of it wasn’t just a straight up port, but a remake. Specifically Kirby’s Dreamland 1 and 2 and maybe Adventure, with Super Star/Deluxe graphics. I also did some research, and every one of these games is already available on 3DS/Wii Virtual Console. :(

The main reason to get this really is if you have not played any of the “original” games….

…or you’re a sucker like me and really love how nicely presented the box art/packaging is. Lol. Tempting…

  • Trumps? … Are those… Are those POGS?

Either way, I’m doing a puroitte off the handle here to get my hands on the thing. I just found out the other day my Dreamland 2 is shot, so that’s just another reason to get this :3

And that 3D package viewer is /awesome/

  • Kirby!!!!!

  • Göran Isacson

When they showcase the other Kirby Wii games, is that just them saying “Oh by the way these games are also on the Wii buy them too”, or will they be packaged into the game as well?

    • Zonic505

The former. They’re just reminding you there’s 2 other Kirby games for the same system.

  • yalissa

    I miss the Kirby anime so much ; u ;

It was a big part of my childhood. I remember the first episode. It always made me sad for some reason ):

  • Hinataharem

Kirby’s Dreamland was the first game I ever played. I cannot pass this up.

  • Keitaro004

Yep, this is already much better than that overpriced Super Mario collection with nearly no extras on the disc at all. If the price is right for this, I might get it
