Naruto Hits 3DS Again With Cutesy Side Scrolling Beat ‘Em Up

Namco Bandai has Naruto game in development, but this one is different from CyberConnect2’s title since it super deformed style. So far, we’ve seen SD Naruto and Rock Lee in Naruto SD Powerful Shippuden.

Usually, Tomy releases Naruto games for Nintendo platforms. The last one they did was Naruto Shippuden 3D: The New Era, which came out in Japan and Europe. Seems like Namco Bandai may have the full license for Naruto which used to be shared with Ubisoft too.

Naruto SD Powerful Shippuden is slated for release later this year.

I hope they make the combat nice and fluid. Can alllways use more beat’em ups.

Rocku Lee Go, Rocku Lee Go! Would be awesome if they put that song in this game. Otherwise dont know how I feel about the SD line, SD has only been good when Naruto and Konohamaru have been in but when focused on Rocku Lee its been a drag. Though I guess Konohamaru would be playable in this one, which would be awesome.

Now isn’t that adorable? I’m such a sucker for anything SD. I’d buy this not even being a Naruto fan.

    • and so …
every one buys a game for his reasons

They can do whatever as long as this one comes to the us

Would be nice if they made a halfway decent naruto fighting game on the ds/3ds, but since they can’t even do that i doubt this will be any good.

I’m trying to understand what exactly companies think of the 3DS. Project Mirai, now this…

I thought it would end up being a substitute of the PSP, but it looks like they believe their supposed target is slightly different.

You shouldn’t take this as a “kiddy” spinoff of sorts intended for the 3DS while everyone gets the real thing. So far, the 3DS has two Naruto related games. One follows the original series and this one happens to follow the SD spinoff manga and anime.

If we are going to go by the “serious factor”, yes, it is less mature in that sense is mostly a parody series. By everything else, it is a story about colourful ninjas fighting other colourful ninjas much like the original series.

It could be the better game and perhaps the first good 2D Naruto game on a Nintendo portable.

  • Why the vita hate???? i don’t know :(

  • All of the Naruto spin-off games so far have been either bad or mediocre. I don’t expect this one to be any different.
