Isn’t it techincally not a crossover since they are the same story just different points of views

    • JustaGenericUser

^ Was what I was about to say.

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Not a different views but more different events in the same universe there.

  • FullMetalAlcopop

    Hooray! More RailDex!

    “PSP Visual Novel”
    Well, there goes my hype.

    • Muffum

I understand your disappointment (and somewhat share it), but I feel a visual novel for Index could work, largely because it’s not all action all the time. A large part of it is just the normal interactions of the cast, either in daily life or as a result of some large occurrence. Can’t speak for Railgun, though.

      • RedShadoww

The series is originally a light novel you know. It definitely works.

  • gaiahatergaia

It’s sad, it’s really really sad that Visual novels don’t get localized…

    • doubletaco

Costs too much for a market that is almost nonexistent.

      • gaiahatergaia

Funny how in japan some Visual novels sell even better than other “console” games, but in the west it’s the total opposite.

      Gather up the RailDex fanbase!!!

  • Prinnydoom

So is this a social game or adventure or what ?___? Meh don’t mind either way

  • doubletaco

Visual novel adaptations: For when you don’t want to actually make a video game, but want the money from the market anyway.

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

      Lol, are you serious here?

         Ignorance is bliss

        • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

I mean, “when you don’t want to actually make a video game???”

What is this here? I don’t even understand here.T_T

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Alexander-Groce/100000039461956 Alexander Groce

The ignorant tend to discount Visual Novels as actual games.

Please fighting game, pls fighting game

Visual novel? Well thats also great here.^^ Considering Index series had a very intersting universe here.^^ Hope that these series will be able to bring new stories to the table.^^

  • Clifford Michael

I find it funny that they call it a crossover, when Railgun is a spinoff of Index.

  • Sardorim

More Birbiri is always a good thing! Touma and Mikoto always have the best scenes together!

The description seems wrong though. The game isn’t split in halfs I believe, I was under the assumption it was Magic (Surface), most likely Touma with Index tagging along, Magic (Underground), Katana chick, Science (Surface), Mikoto with Kuroko stalking her, and Science (Underground), Accelerator.

Of course Mikoto is in this game! Only someone that hates money wouldn’t have made sure she was in the game and plays an important role in the story!

Also, they said the stories will interact with each other so Touma and Mikoto will end up running into eachother more than once in the game.

    • Göran Isacson

If the game has four storylines with those four different protagonists, I am going to be one happy little monkey. ESPECIALLY if it ends in a fifth true route where they all team up to curbstomp some poor unfortunate soul.

      • Sardorim

Well, the Index game had multiple stories and if you had a Railgun save you could unlock the secret Mikoto route that involves her chasing after Touma over a Gekota prize. She wants to trade for it but he refuses, Index reveals at the end that Touma refused to trade it to her since he wanted to give it, for free, to Mikoto at the right time, to try and make up for all the trouble he caused her in the past, which causes her to go Dere-Dere for him.

I agree too in all INDEX/RAILGUN games Mikoto should appear ..unless the creator don’t want money at all !!

  • Ricewarrior

Accelerator and Last Order should have their own spin-off.

Saten :3 Kuroko and her lesbian antics XD

  • Shogunreaper

Crossover? They are from the same universe..

Also if i want to read a vn i’ll read a vn, not play it as a game on a freaking psp. Maybe its just me but i actually want to use my game systems for playing actual games.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Dylan-Ng/100000854638739 Dylan Ng

Hope the story interelated and CANON. Needs moar Misaka x Touma action.

    Totally not expecting a localisation….. Maybe I’ll w8 4 fansub.

    • Sardorim

The games are usually not canon… I don’t mind though, another excuse for more Touma x Mikoto moments is fine with me. They’re always something amazing.

      • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Well Gundam 0081 Senki even though is a game there is considered Canon as it is released to commerate GUndam anniversary there.^^

So if this game does not break any of the story base, i am sure that this game will be Canon.^^

        • Sardorim

Or they’ll just do what they did with the other games and never say which way or the other. It’s hard to place them in the current storylines since there’s not much room for Touma and Mikoto to just hang out so casually.

“The PSP game has four scenarios Magical Index first and second half and Scientific Railgun first half and second half.”

Kind of tells you that it’s following the anime arcs– lest I am reading something wrong…

The word “Ensemble” in the title might mean that it is based off the anime/novels– as this game is combining the two works into one. A shot in the dark with that idea though.

Unless it’s just meant to refresh upon those two series and link them together. (Something most fans have failed to do on their own)

Either way– I recognize the screenshot of Index, that’s definitely from the night they first encountered Stiyl Magnus. Though– it could very well be a retelling as well, that of which I wouldn’t mind either.

Index has a fantastic plot either way ~

        • http://ahmadmdev.yolasite.com/ AhmadMDev

I think it more than probably to be a retelling of the 2 series while connecting between them.

  • XiaomuArisu

So does that mean a third season comes?Would be cool!

  • sherimae1324
