Square Enix Is Making Cowboy Bebop And Kingdom Hearts Tron Legacy Figures

By Spencer . July 12, 2012 . 12:28am

Square Enix started out deluxe Final Fantasy figures under their Play Arts Kai line. Now, they’re making Halo, Batman, and Cowboy Bebop figures. At San Diego Comic Con, Square Enix had Vicious and Spike Spiegel figures on display.

New figures of Tron: Legacy Sora and Riku from Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] were also at Square Enix’s booth.

Tekken figures too? Yeah, Square Enix is making those along with a huge line up of Capcom figures with Street Fighter and Devil May Cry characters. Another surprise is Square Enix might be making a Dead Space figure of Isaac Clarke. You know with all of these figures maybe one day Square Enix will make Play Arts Kai: Final Battle or something.

Tucked in between the Capcom and Batman showcases were a few Final Fantasy figures.

I’ve been meaning to buy a KH Play Arts figure since forever, but they’re pretty scarce and/or expensive, so maybe once these ones are out, I’ll get one of them while they’re relatively cheap and available. Plus, Tron! Sora and Riku are pretty awesome looking.

recently got both cyborg ninja and solid snake, most likely going to get spike now. Personally I find everything besides the actual final final fantasy play arts line of figures  look great, the faces of the FF ones don’t look right imo.

  • For some reason, I thought the title was going to say “Square Enix Is Making Cowboy Bebop and Kingdom Hearts Crossover Game”. Literally almost fell out of my chair from shock.

But anyways, this is pretty awesome! Auuuugh, I want a Spike figureeeeeeee.

    • Not too long ago I discovered that the head writer of Cowboy Bebop (Keiko Nobumoto) served as story supervisor for the first Kingdom Hearts. I pretty much actually did fall out of my chair in disbelief.

I would be totally cool with that Play Arts Kai: FInal Battle cross-over game. I would be very, very cool with it indeed. I’d at least be more willing to splurge money on that game than a figurine, which is just way not within my budget.
