By Spencer . July 17, 2012 . 3:57pm

time1Famitsu has a release date for Time and Eternity: Toki Towa. The PlayStation 3 game will be available in Japan on October 11, a week after their PSP epic Sol Trigger.

May.J will sing the opening theme song "Rewind." Famitsu also has details on two more characters Makimona, a fortune teller who predicted the attack on Princess Toki’s wedding, and Bicode, the leader of the assassin’s guild.

While Time and Eternity has only been announced for Japan, Imageepoch CEO Ryoei Mikage expressed interest in bringing the game overseas.

Would love to import but Mikage seemed really excited for localization. Gotta support that.

Sooo, any chances of getting an actual gameplay video before the game comes out?

I swear they are keeping this under the utmost secrecy. It must be so incredible, or so horrible, that they don’t want people to see it until release.

    • FitzpatrickPhillips

I don’t think Imageepoch has ever dropped the ball before regarding a battle system(Minus BRS: The Game). Plus, Mikage sounds so excited for it. I think he’s just holding back for whatever reason.

  • MrKappa

No gameplay videos and no clear cut answer on how the game even plays or works yet it is coming out right after Sol Trigger?
I can see it now, this game is gonna be incredibly short and disappointing. Unless they got some ace up their sleeve…

How do you put a game out with no gameplay at all >.>

    • Guest

Japan does it all the time. Especially with their Adventure games.

    • LynxAmali

We call them “Visual”, wait for it, “Novels.

      Brilliant plan, don’t ya think?

      • I thought this was an RPG?

I was making fun of the fact that there has been no gameplay trailers released yet.

        • Oh, now I get it.

    • mirumu

Reminds me a bit of Dragon’s Lair and Space Ace in the 80s. The visuals
on those games looked great for the time as they streamed them off laserdisc, but the gameplay consisted of nothing but rudimentary QTEs. Didn’t take too long for gamers to spot the elephant in the room.

    • There was gameplay. Didn’t you see the epic 2 seconds of it in the trailers =P

Can’t wait will preorder ASAP :D

  • Herok♞

I have faith the game will be good even without the gameplay being shown so far no matte what it will be interesting

  • l777l

I’d be very interested in buying both games, if they were to be released in English.

  • gaiahatergaia

Imageepooch is the next Gen RPG company, I LOVE YOU!

  • [Insert comment about gameplay footage here]

  • Setsuna ♥

They need to announce localization before I drop the money to import it :x

  • MrSirFeatherFang

I hate it when developers or companies show off their game waaaay too much.
Though with nothing shown is a bit weird as well, but I’m taking my bets on imageepoch!

  • Darkrise

    C’mon let’s see some gameplay~! Hopefully it’ll be locaized!

  • October of this year just got even better ^_^

Meanwhile, the manga is out now. So if you only care about the story, start reading.

I have an interest in this coming overseas, as well.

    Please come overseas.

  • Fortune teller…..Suspicious eh?
Leader of assasin guild…..Found the mastermind.

  • keithmaxx

I get this feeling that this will be a hybrid visual novel-adventure RPG, with a bigger emphasis on the former. While interesting, it is also worrying, but I won’t put out Imageepoch just yet… and hopefully they deliver.

  • Ricewarrior

I’ve been wanting to see it, and so have other people. But they haven’t been showing it.

But you know At this point, I given up even mentioning it since it’s basically close to joke status.

……ALL RIGHT! Looking forward to some more screen shots!

  • frokenok3

Okay, so now i know when i’m getting the game and it’s really close! Sweet!

  • Alphabet Soup

Hoping this one gets the overseas release that Mikage keeps bringing up the possibility of.  Do not dangle this in front of me, Imageepoch, I MUST HAVE IT!

  • Not showing gameplay footage at all so close to release is worrying, it’s usually a sign that the publishers don’t have a lot of confidence in it. Here’s hoping it does end up being an interesting game and not end up just featuring 3fps animation with the same dozen or so enemies endlessly showing up with pallette swaps.

Then once it’s finished they can do a full 3D luminous arc title for the 3DS or Vita.

    • A 3D Luminous Arc title would be fantastic!
