guilty1CyberConnect2 is one busy studio with Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 and a JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure game in the works. Guilty Dragon is their first smartphone game.

The story takes place after a disaster shook the world and shattered the Sin Dragon relief into eight pieces. Now, these fragments are scattered around the world. Whoever restores the Sin Dragon will gain the power to unite the world. You play as a new adventurer, one that you can customize by selecting hair styles, gender, and a face.

As you travel through the world, you’ll gain units you can use in battle. Units can use different weapons and you can do powerful attacks by charging up. Guilty Dragon has social and competitive elements. You can fight with other players to gain weapons and armor or work together with friends to defeat monsters.

The game also appears to be connected to the .hack universe since the copyright notes its a .hack Conglomerate property, although Famitsu doesn’t have any details regarding this. Guilty Dragon is slated for release this summer as a free to play game for iOS and Android in Japan.
