Sleeping Dogs – Hong Kong Special Edition will retail for $388HKD or $50. Yeah, it’s less than the North American version and it’s in English too.

Still waiting to know where to buy this version…

The game has moments when the actors speak in Cantonese though and many non important characters only speak Cantonese. Plus there’s some non Asian characters (Emma Stone’s character for example)

True but it would make sense for the HK (and Taiwan version) to have characters speaking Chinese because it take place in HK, characters are supposed to be speaking Chinese.  I know there are non-Asian characters in there too, but I wouldn’t mind they being dubbed over in Chinese.  Beside I would’ve love the Hong Kong/Taiwan dub to have Famous Chinese celebs doing the dub like I always thought Tony Leung Chu-Wai (Famous Hong Kong actor) should voice Wei Shan.

Yeah I would’ve love the HK and Taiwan version to have Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin language).  It make sense because it’s in HK, what do you expect for them to speak.  Also it would’ve been awesome if the Chinese language dub had famous HK, and Chinese stars to voice the characters like for me I would want Tony Leung Chu-Wai to voice Wei Shan
Andy Lau should voice Winston Chu, Barbie Hsu lending her voice for Peggy Li and the character Harry Lee should be voiced by either Chow Yun Fat or Adam Cheng Siu Chau (a very famous HK star). Hell, I would want Jackie Chan to maybe lend his voice in this one too.  I can think of many Mainland Chinese, Hong Kong, and Taiwan celebs who could fit the characters in the game for that dub.  It would be awesome for me and Americans that are fans of watching Asian drama from HK, Taiwan, and Mainland China would play this also.

    Looks like I’m importing then…

  • LovesJapanManga

where can I import that version? – Hong Kong version from an importing video games store? Plau-Asia certainly don’t have them listed… Anyone know where? Thanks a lot.

  • Barrit

Hm, I looked on Play-Asia and the 360 version mentions the limited edition, but only the George St. Pierre pack and Police protection pack. The PS3 version doesn’t list any limited edition in the description or any packs. Anyone know which one it is?

  • Nitraion

    Sweet price….for sweet content

  • Solomon_Kano

Well now, what do we have here?

I mean, HK exclusive? Is this a first? Anyways, I’ll be getting a copy in Wanchai come the release date.

  • Syltique

I want English text, subtitles and menus, but Chinese language audio.

    • Alex

The game is already bilingual so that would be a weird feature.

  • Yuri

Guys all that content will be available for you to buy on Steam and GMG. Don’t worry about it being exclusive because it’s not.
