See The Summon Night Series Revival Right Here

By Spencer . July 30, 2012 . 1:20am

When Flight Plan shutdown I thought it would be the end of the Summon Night series or if we’re lucky we would get a reboot years later. Namco Bandai, which absorbed Summon Night publisher Banpresto years earlier, is reviving the series starting with enhanced ports of Summon Night 3 and Summon Night 4 for PSP.

Both games are more user friendly with detailed damage prediction data and mid-battle quicksaves.

Summon Night 3 has also been enhanced with new illustrations, a Brave Medal battle system where you can earn medals by completing specific conditions, and a… fishing mini-game?

Summon Night 3 comes out on October 4 and then Summon Night 4 arrives on November 15. Later on, Namco Bandai will release Summon Night 5, a brand new game in the series. All of the titles are for PSP.

It is a great thing there even after Flight Plan being closed down, Bamco dare to take some risk into releasing a new game for this franchise.^_^

Here, i also hoped Bamco will allow the game company there to not only make the numbered title however also come out with the spin-off title there.^_^

Sweet! The PSP still has some juice in it! I do hope they localize an Undub version of these series, because Japanese voice-overs are great!

    • mikeal cushnie

you got that right but if only we could understand

  • I’m just going to cry in a corner. It’s a mix of tears of joy for being alive to see something new from Summon Night and tears of sorrow because these were never localized the first time around and my hope for the second time isn’t much higher. *sobs*

  • mikeal cushnie
