Soul Sacrifice Supports Online Multiplayer

By Spencer . July 31, 2012 . 9:57pm

souls1While Soul Sacrifice has an AI controlled partner in single player mode, creator and Comcept CEO Keiji Inafune designed it as a multiplayer game.

"I recommend the multiplayer mode where you can play with your friends or girlfriend. Because that’s when the emotions come out and everyone can feel the sacrifice," Inafune said during an interview with Siliconera.

The good news is you can sacrifice for your friends even if you’re a thousand miles away. Soul Sacrifice supports online multiplayer, Famitsu magazine reports.

  • To play this with your girlfriend must really show the true colors of the relationship

    • Domii

lol.. I’m picturing a lot of break ups when couples play this.

  • I hope Capcom is taking notes.

    • Domii

      • Lol, im talking about Capcom’s Monster Hunter game, they have never be able to add online multiplayer to that one…

        • Domii

Well to be fair, it’s not like it matters what capcom does with MH since WE DON’T EVER GET IT LOCALIZE!!!

          •  That is something else they need to take notes about… localization of the games.

  • William Sung Kang

What if you don’t have a friend or a girlfriend?

    • Hnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg! >_<

I lol'd hard at this. XD

      • Christopher Nunes

Ah huh, what character says that?

Anyway you plan on getting Soul Sacrifice as well? Want to team up? ^_^
I’ll do whatever I can to help ya out and my fellow teammates!

PS: What character is your Avatar? I know I’ve seen her before… is she from Vocaloid or Super Sonico?

        • kupomogli

          I like AzureNova’s avatars.

        • She is indeed Super Sonico ^_^

          • Christopher Nunes

Cool. I quite like your Avatar… it fits you very well. ^_^

      • Is the HNNNGG frm Katawa Shoujo???

        • No, but I know what that is and I should play that lol

    • Go out and find one :)

    • Christopher Nunes

      I’ll be your friend. ^_^

    • kupomogli
    • Domii

I can recommend you some good lounges and clubs if you live in the New York area……….

    • Barrit

       your enemy’s girlfriend?

  • I will sacrifice like a boss.

The amount of time I spend playing this will be a great sacrifice to my daily life. =P

  • Sacrifice all the non-friend online players!! >:D Kidding.
I hope it has voice chat too (that can be enabled/disabled).

  • Go2hell66

    girlfriend!? awww man…

  • Rohan Viajar

I feel like when I will play online, people are just gonna troll on me by rage quiting or something after I use a sacrifice spell.

  • Willi M.

I shall sacrifice myself for a chance… my girlfriend, you shall be our road into victory! *spine busted*

  • Alexander Aubert

  • konsama

So this will have online mode, interesting. Looks like this might be the first game that could make me want a Vita. I’ll keep a closer eye on this…

  • lorelai4cuties

i have alot of friends but none of them like to play videogames and they all boys :/ i got a question
if i sacrificed myself what i get from it? exps or nothing? :/

    • Stranger On The Road

you will get a virtual tap on the shoulder from your friends telling that your sacrifice wasn’t in vain….. they have all leveled up because of you :-p

any way, details about the system haven’t come out yet (AFAIK), but I think they said that if you fall, your friends will have the option of healing you… or sacrificing you (yes, you are not the only one who can sacrifice you). The system will keep track of those things and it will somehow effect the game, but how will it effect the game? that info haven’t been released yet.

oh, and you will be able to sacrifice the monsters that you defeat!

  • Stranger On The Road

come-no, when is it going to be released? I’ve been waiting for this game for a long time.

any way, back on topic, will this game give you to option to let your virtual girlfriend (LovePlus (optional) or Dream Club Zero Portable or Ciel no Surge or Dead Or Alive Paradise) play as well? And would the game effect the affectation in the original game? not all of us have real girlfriends :-p

  • I am going for maximum rage and irritation.  Guess I can say goodbye to all of my friends.

  • neetyneety

“I recommend the multiplayer mode where you can play with your friends
or girlfriend. Because that’s when the emotions come out and everyone
    can feel the sacrifice,”

Haha, as if. We’d all probably be lol’ing hard whenever someone dies. I can’t count how many times we’ve looked like douchebags whenever we played multiplayer games.

Also, girlfriend? How many girls would like to play a gory game like this anyway? :P

    • Juan Manuel M. Suárez

A lot? My girlfriend spent two weeks glued to Lolipop Chainsaw. Let’s not frame girls in awful stereotypes~.

      • neetyneety

Ok, thinking about it thoroughly now, you might be right. I just assumed is all ’cause all the women I’ve come to know can’t even bare to look at a teeny amount of blood without fainting. It’s nice that you have a girlfriend who seems a whole lot different. (jelly I am~)

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Playing this with GF??? Man, i am having a feeling that the male player is going to be “Sacrificed” a lot there lol. Not to mention…… they need to maintain their relation here.T_T

  • xavier axol

what if my friend (or my girl friend) and i can’t agree on which one should sacrifice? also how do i get her to play this game? damn stupid angry birds!!
back on the topic, what benefit does the other player get (you know…as side from sacrificing)? how long is the story mode and will there be dlc? how deep is the customization? how different will the game be if you choose to play as female (if any)? can we befriend the monsters (the onces humans…i mean), do we get to steal the enemies powers? man, i hope we get some answers before the release of this game.

  • Domii

This is without a doubt my most anticipated Vita game to date.

  • I can imagine me constantly sacrificing myself for the sake of my girlfriend, specially when she can emotionally blackmail me so very easily:

My girlfriend: “Can we please finish with this honey bunny? this place scares me and that Monster seems not to like me. Pretty please with sugar in the top <3"

Me: "Sure cutie pie, anything for my princess!" *rips his spine off*

    • Domii

No no!!! You doing it all wrong my brotha. Next thing you know, she’ll be the one wearing the pants lol..

      • Thats not true! next time she allows me to get online I will show you that… oh… crap…

  • rinalicat

Hm…I think I’d be the one sacrificing my friends:
Friend: Uh-Why-HEY!! I DIDN’T SAY YOU COULD TAKE IT!!!

  • Solomon_Kano

Online multiplayer? Good, good. To be expected of Inafune though.

  • Göran Isacson

But what if me and my hypothetical girlfriend are massive disgusting guro-lovers and we keep choosing the messiest kind of sacrifice just to get our rocks off? WHAT THEN OF YOUR VAUNTED SACRIFICE, hmmm~?

  • Kitestwinblades

Oh, this is going to be REALLY fun XD
I wonder how long you can go without sacrificing anything.
But with a title like that r.r; it seems kinda mandatory.
