Mages Continuing Steins;Gate Science Adventure Game Series Next Year

By Spencer . August 8, 2012 . 2:21am

imageChiyomaru Shikura CEO of Mages confirmed with Famitsu that they’re making a new game in the "science adventure series." Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate, and Robotics;Notes are all part of Mage’s science adventure series.

The fourth title, Shikura says, is slated for release in 2013. Shikura also said he’s working on more smartphone ports. Perhaps, that will be a way for Mages to bring more of their titles overseas.

Phantom Breaker and later on the Xbox Live Arcade beat ‘em up are on track for a release overseas. Although, we haven’t heard much about Phantom Breaker since it was announced…

    Well hot damn.

Steins;Gate is my favorite out of the bunch, so I gotta say this is exciting news!

  • Dokurochan

Instead of creating smartphone ports, I wish that they would expend that energy creating PC ports of Chaos;Head Noah and Robotics;Notes. That way, even if they never get picked up for an official release, there would still be the possibility of fan translators translating them.

As for the new game in the series, I’m eagerly awaiting the eventual song Itou Kanako performs for it. ^_^

Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate, and Robotic;Notes… I’m sure the next title going to have “;” in it too lol. Btw, the setting for all of these games/anime happened in the same world right? Just in a different time.

And seeing that C;H, S;G and R;N got their own anime, I REALLY hope this new tittle will get its own anime too. I mean, if we can’t play them in english… then  at least an anime will fill that emptiness XD

    And also… Steins;Gate + Kurisu = AWESOME!!

    • superdry

Yup all the games take place in the same world one after the other.

  • Nashuim

The title made me think that this would be a Steins;Gate sequel. Something that wouldn’t make much sense.

There was Steins;Gate 8-bit/Variant Space Octet, if that counts.

      • Nashuim

That’s why It wouldn’t make much sense.

    • WingsOfEternity

They used Steins;Gate for the article title because it’s the most well-known out of the three. I think.

    Misleading title.

If they want to release Chaos;Head and Steins;Gate in English, I think I might know a few people who could help…

I’m a litle confused…I thought Nitroplus did the “science ADV games”?  Is Mages like a subsidiary of 5pb?

    • superdry

No. 5pb is a separate company. They are the ones who make the science adventures games with Nitroplus helping out as a collaboration. Since 5pb is not as well known in the west its understandable that people think of Nitroplus more when it comes to these games.

    • Yerld_CK

MAGES is the parent company, although I think 5pb has technically been absorbed into that particular entity now. Basically, 5pb’s Chiyomaru Shikura took control of the entire operation and gave it a new name.
