Check Out All Of These Neptunia V Costumes

By Spencer . August 16, 2012 . 10:48pm

Neptunia V has tons of costume options. The latest trailer for Compile Heart’s RPG series about the video game industry shows witch, maid, priestess, and nurse outfits. Purururut, a new character who lives in Planeptune, carries a stuffed animal like a teddy bear or, if you prefer, a Neptune doll. Just like past games, players can customize each console goddess’ CPU form too.

Neptunia V comes out on August 30 in Japan.

    QUESTION TIME!

Quick – name all the fetishes presented in this vid.

For the record, Spence missed A BUNCH.

    • FitzpatrickPhillips

Um, priestess, witch, maid, idol, nurse, mizugi, eye patch, usagimimi (inumimi?) or kemonomimi in general, megane, halo, double buns, mini crown, stuffed animal, animal slippers, hair pin(s), ribbon(s), hair bands and v (as in the hand gesture)

I await my masters to finish what I could not :(

      • http://wiredjungle.wordpress.com/ DrakosAmatras

Uh… how about the CPU forms’ leotards? And some sneaky near-upskirt shots.

        • MrSirFeatherFang

          Oh yeah… lol
Also I forgot cheongsam, twin tails, ahoge and mini skirts too…
I have much to learn. What else did I miss?
          (fin funnels?)

I don’t know… The series has always been about throwing as many fetishes and references at you.

          • MrSirFeatherFang

Well I do own the the other two games… but I haven’t played them yet. I usually buy games at release to support it, but I don’t have too much time to play them haha.
Well thanks for the help. I shall await even more help!

If there’s no localization announcement within 2 months I’ll just cave and import it. If anything I’ll just purchase the english version for the english cast later on. This game just looks too damn good.

    • http://wiredjungle.wordpress.com/ DrakosAmatras

The first two games have laid down a ground for more translations to land, so I think we will be seeing the English version – just may or may not be within 2 months. Once the English version comes out for a cheaper price and with Japanese dub, it would make the JP disc practically pointless (unless you can read Japanese).

      • FitzpatrickPhillips

I can read japanese, which is why the option to import is there. I don’t really care about the japanese audio. Just super excited is all.

HDN and MK-2 was both release in August in JP and release in February in US, so I concluded we won’t see this until February 2013, but most likely will be March, since NISA has like 5 project running atm.

Hate to be the guy who has to talk about the elephant in the room but just how much of this is gonna be DLC?
Worst yet, just imagine all the over priced DLC milking they have planned.

I do so enjoy costumes in RPGs though.

When there is DLC in one of Compile Heart’s games they usually mention it in the trailer— like with Falcom and Cave as well as Gust and Nisa, it was shown below the scenes containing them(A little disclaimer of sorts).

So far they’ve never actually shown DLC in a trailer without labeling it as such.

Most of this is likely in game; since for the most part it’s just recolors costume canvas (user based skins for HDD) and processor sets, all of which hardly have a presence as DLC.

It’s usually the new swimsuits; and random cosplay-esque costumes and attachments, ridiculously overpowered processors, weapons, and other miscellaneous items that end up being pushed as DLC for this series.

Wow!!! I want this game simply for the customization options alone (even though I’d probably never be able to make even half of those awesome designs)!!!  That is just unbelievable what can be done in this game as far as customizing the girls costumes.  I even saw one of em (I think her name’s Noire) looking almost exactly like Hatsune Miku.

    This looks great!

I loved seeing those two new processor sets for blanc; around 0:21-

NTD-64 and W1I, Pururut also have SVT-OO and S3-2X. So many awesome processors and references to go along with them, I love it.

Oh and here are the processors I am mentioning for Blanc, just in case they are hard to see:

The next two weeks better go by fast… I seriously can’t WAIT to play this game.

Outfits go well with the Neptunia games, they just fit there well.
There’s still a lot of potential to improve their role  in the games  but they’ve sure come a long way from Neptunia 1.
