By Spencer . August 23, 2012 . 7:19pm

On top of Dragon Quest X and Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix is creating new online games like Monster X Dragon and Crystal Conquest. This browser based title is a real time strategy game where players team up to fight summoned monsters. Tutorial quests will teach people how to play the game and mission quests will grant players rewards.

    It’s in Japanese.
    What are the odds of Western localization, here?
    This could be a great way to spend an afternoon. Or many afternoons.

  • Sardorim

    …What the heck is she wearing? It seems the Japanese seem intent on trying to out do each other on putting women in even more outrageous and impractical clothing while on the battlefield.

    If that was a man he would be wearing full armor, not that bits and pieces thing that looks like something a roleplaying stripper would wear.

      I remember hearing how some real life women warriors throughout European ancient/mediaeval history fought entirely naked.
      So… I think anything would be an improvement.^_^;
      Off topic, is that how you really spell “mediaeval”, or is my word generator on my android screwy? O.o;;
      Need sleep…=.=

      • Nemesis_Dawn

        Berzerkers would fight naked too, but they were exclusively male. And I would think most videogame devs would try to avoid having big, hairy naked vikings in their videogames.

        It’s spelled “medieval.”

        You can spell it “medieval”, “mediaeval”, or “mediæval”, whichever you prefer.

      • Sardorim

        Yet that doesn’t change that if that was a man he would be covered in armor from head to toe.

    is this the Unity engine project that was announced last year by sqaure enix? or was that something else? and any idea what happened to that project?

  • Looks intriguing. Hopefully it will turn out well and prove a worthwhile effort for Squeenix.
