Shoot The Core To Defeat Unchained Blades Exxiv’s Gigantic Bosses

Unchained Blades Exxiv isn’t a shoot ‘em up, but the boss battles definitely remind me of Gradius. Titans like Arktos are waiting at the end of each labyrinth with multiple cores you need to shatter to defeat him. Arktos takes up multiple screens you can cycle through by pressing L and R.

 

 

Looks like a Minotaur is another one of the bosses in Unchained Blades Exxiv.

 

 

Keat (left) is an island that’s shaped like a whale and one of the dungeons players will explore. Nahush (right) is a giant tower that looks like it has two serpents twisting towards the sky. This dungeon has a poison gas traps.

 

 

The adventure begins in Roselle Town. You can stop by Roselle Cottage to restore HP, an item shop, and a synthesis shop called Sara’s mixing room.

 

 

You can also stop by the tavern to get quests from Olie (created by Dream C Club artist Haruyuki Morisawa) and buy weapons from Nils who was drawn by Legend of Hereos artist Katsumi Enami.

 

Unchained Blades Exxiv comes out on November 15 for PSP and Nintendo 3DS.
