Fighting game on handhelds always feel so cumbersome. ~_~()

I’ve gotta admit that I really like the Vita’s clicky d-pad though!

    • neo_firenze

Agreed with Kris. I have always disliked fighters on handhelds – I’m the type of person who only wants to play on a nice stick with good buttons, or for a pad it’s Saturn pad or bust. But I have been very pleasantly surprised by the Vita’s excellent d-pad. BlazBlue and UMVC3 are great on it. I’m a bit more reluctant about SFxT just because it’s a 6 button game and the Vita has only 4 face buttons (never liked using triggers for fighting games, reason I don’t care for SSF4 on 3DS) but GG should be juuuust fine in that regard since the primary controls are 4 buttons.

    • Kefkiroth

I’d say on the Vita it even beats PS3′s and 360′s experience (unless you have a fighting pad of course) because of the nice d-pad. It’s a lot better for diagonals, and it feels amazingly comfortable the way it curves up to your thumb’s shape.

Is this what we’re getting in october? I’m confused. Still can’t wait C:

The PSN/XBLA game which is called “Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus” has all of the balancing from “GGXXAC+ R” which is the latest arcade release. That’s set for October.

“Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R” is for Vita and coming to 2013. Looks pretty much like the same thing unless the PSN/XBLA version doesn’t have full voice acting. Arc System Works hasn’t said anything about voice acting for the story mode for PSN/XBLA.

      • ForteWily

The last that I checked, the PSN/XBLA releases is not the R update. The plan from what I have heard, was to update that to R at a latter date.
If you have anything that would prove that wrong… I would welcome it.

        • http://www.siliconera.com Spencer

Yeah, you’re right! I forgot it was coming at a later date, but GGXAC+ will still get the “R” patch eventually and it won’t cost anything for consumers since it’s a patch. I don’t think it’s that bad, but then again I may just be happy to see GG come back to consoles!

          • ForteWily

             You and me both.

  • Solomon_Kano

Ohhhhh snap. I think I’ll have to wait this version out instead of getting Plus on PS3. I got into GG on PSP, so more of it on the go sounds good.

  • MikelAL93

As long as this is a retail release, I will definitely get this on my Vita for sure. :)

  • shion16

UMVC3 ,Blazblue , MK, and SFxTk is coming up
And if you include SC:Broken Destiny ,Tekken 6 ,KOF:Orochi Saga, SF Alpha 3 and DBZ Shin Budokai (PSP), PSVita is a great console for fighting games

    • Eliézer Dos Santos

With that tiny buttons, i don’t think i can play so well.

      • Kefkiroth

I think it’s fine for fighting games. The D-Pad is better than the Dualshock’s for diagonals in my opinion (and much better than the 360′s by a mile), and diagonals are very important in a fighting game. Plus the way it curves up to your thumb’s shape makes it feel almost as great as an analog stick. Not as good as a joystick, but still definitely playable despite my big hands.

      • Dede Ogbe

Obviously you’ve never played Blazblue, UMVC3 or MK on the Vita. The Vita’s buttons are amazing for fighting games. Not quite Ps3 standard but then again it’s a handheld device, not a console. And it’s pretty good at what it does.
Am definately gonna get this day 1.

  • Go2hell66

eh does this game really need a vita port? i could understand if it was a new game.
i guess developing games for vita must be really cheap?

i think i’ll stick to the ps3 version, i can’t play fighting games on pad anyways

  • Mazdian

Great trailer music! I really like the absurd weapons.

  • HassanJamal

That has got to be the longest title for a game on the ps vita :O

  • Göran Isacson

Ha ha ha oh my god this series and it’s titles. SO. Searchign the comments lets me know that this is approximately the same game as the version that’s heading to the PSN/XBL, or that the version for PSN/XBL will be updated to this version when the time is right or… something. So they’re pretty much the same. My question is- which of these are we in the West getting? Both, or just one? Or, which I do hope is not the case, is there no plans to release them outside Japan as of now?

Will it be easy like the psp version where you just need to throw out the final attack, or it won’t be that easy and you have to fight more? ?_?
(i played on the psp and i always throw the last move to end the battle quickly.)

  • Historiata

Wasn’t story mode full voiced already?

  • http://www.facebook.com/daniel.sohn.754 Daniel Sohn

I’m guessing they’re going to retain the old Japanese VAs….But, voices aside, I missed this game….INSTANT BUY
