At least it’s looking a lot better than the 3DS launch. Guess they won’t fall twice for the same mistake.

  • $30632660

Mario and Monster Hunter at Launch is just overkill for Japan. It’s borderline suicide if Sony (it’s too late for you Microsoft ;/) watches as the Wii U sails through Japan like an unstoppable force.

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

      YOu forget DQ 10 there.^_^

      • $30632660

That makes it a Triple Threat, raising the Wii U straight into God Mode.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

PFFt…………. Brain Explode!! What a line up

  • Shuga Suenaga

    Monolith soft!!!!!!!!!

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

I will bet my whole Rupees for the December Sales there…..

Edit: To Spencer here. Is that WOnderful 101= Project P100?

    • [Spencer] Yes, that’s correct. [/Spencer]

      • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Ehh? You are Spencer here or not lol.^_^

  • badmoogle

    Dat Monolith Soft game! <3

  • Brimfyre

Good.  Nothing I can live without.  I just hope Wii U sells enough early on because I won’t be getting one until Metroid or maybe Zelda.  I have a feeling they will struggle for awhile until Zelda at least.

This is the riskiest system Nintendo has ever released.  Way more than 3DS.  I hope they can pull it off.

    • xavier axol

yeah a zelda or a metroid game is the deal breaker for me, but the launch line up is good.

    • SirRichard

It’s not as risky as you’d think: the first-party offerings are a 2D Mario game and a family-friendly party game, after all, even now that can still sell fairly well, even if it does so slowly.

It’s certainly their most ambitious launch, though, that’s for definite.

      • Sakurazaki

        Plus, an HD MH3.

    • Tom_Phoenix

I don’t see how the Wii U is even remotely risky. Infact, it seems like a preety conventional console compared to it’s predecessor.

  • baha

It will be the DS launch all over again. And not a single person in Japan will got to work this day.

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Haha.^_^ YOu indeed makes me remember the launch of Mon Hun lol.^_^ Where all factory workers went to buy game rather than working there lol.^_^

Well that just shows how Japanese sees that “Game is their life” lol.^_^

  • MrTyrant

What a good line up. Personally with monolith soft game, im already thinking about buying this console.

  • PreyMantis

That is indeed an impressive lineup. I can’t wait to see all those pictures of Japanese gamers all lined-up XD

  • Spider-Man

I only care about Monster Hunter and Bayonetta.

  • Natat

The Japanese lineup is mighty impressive too. Getting Monster Hunter on release day pretty much guarantees strong sales.

  • That looks pretty bad… some ports and a Mario rehash

  • Marcelo Henrique Chaves

I’m not a Nintendo fan. My last Nintendo platform was the N64, and i bought it used 3 years after its release.
3DS got my interest, but i’ll get it in the far future.
But now Nintendo got my attention.
The first console with native 1080p, Monster Hunter on launch day, and they have Bayonetta 2 exclusive( that the logo alone got me excited)?

I got say Nintendo is already doing a good job in making his platform appealing in the next gen.

  • Solomon_Kano

MH3U at launch? Nintendo’s just guaranteed themselves a good start. They also didn’t repeat the mistake of not having a Mario game at launch like they did with the 3DS. This should be gooood.

  • well, very nice indeed

  • Testsubject909

That’s an okay lineup… Definitely nothing to buy day 1, at least not for me if I were living in Japan.

But that’s just me and my financial situation.

  • British_Otaku

Seems it is getting an anime game next year…

Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2

I would hope it gets more like the Gundam VS. or One Piece franchises, but I guess I would like them localised or region free more than the games themselves…  >_>
