Sony Pushing Vita Online Action RPG, Picotto Knights, With Their Favorite Cats

By Spencer . September 13, 2012 . 5:50pm

torokuroNHN Hangame and Ragnarok Odyssey developer Game Arts are about to release Picotto Knights. This upcoming Vita game is slated for release on September 20 and, oh yeah, it’s free.

Picotto Knights is kind of like Dungeon Fighter Online with knights you can customize. Login before October 4 and you’ll get Toro (the white cat) as an accessory for your character. You can get Kuro too if you clear a special mission.

Picotto Knights has not been announced for North America, but we think it’s coming over since Siliconera found a trademark for Picotto Knights registered in the United States.

Oh God.  Please release this in the NA PSN so I’ll have something to play.

I only use my Vita for Skype now.

    • kupomogli

Does the Vita work good for Skype?

Also, why are you only using the Vita with Skype?   Uncharted, Unit 13, Wipeout 2048, and Gravity Rush want your money.

      • ronin4life

Unless he got past them already…
Out of those three, only gravity rush interests me. That’s why I don’t have a vita…

This is interesting though. I think I need to start a list of personally interesting vita games to begin the process of gauging my “want vita” levels… may have enough reasons soon…

        • Wuuuuuuuut

Yeah, the only game that interests me was Gravity Rush and Ragnarok Odyssey.  But Ragnarok Odyssey keeps getting delayed.

I don’t mind the wait, though.

RO is coming next month (October and this time is official). To be fair, while the PSV has been dead for almost three months, October and November are going to see a considerable influx of games: LBP, New Little King Story, Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation, Dokuor, Sonic All Star Racing (or whatever it’s called), Playstation: Battle Royale and P4: The Golden~.

I’d mention CoD too but we all know it’s going to bomb since it’s made by Nihilistic~.

      • sandra10

Sound Shapes deserves a mention too. It’s better than most retail releases.

It’s fun making your own stages too, but that also depends on if you like to build and make stuff.

Also, it’s nice that buying it means you have it for both PS3 and PSV.

Skype on Vita works really well.  I speak with my mom through Skype since she’s in Indonesia and I’m in Los Angeles.

      • Testsubject909

I myself bought a few PSP games off of PSN to play on the Vita and oh boy does that second analog help a lot. Set it as the D-Pad and see many games that required the claw ease up heavily and play far more wonderfully.

Now, some people would argue “Why’re you using a new console to play old games!?” Well… What do you think people did with the PS2, PS3, Wii, DS and 3DS?

    • HassanJamal

What about LBP Vita (or what i deem LBP Carnivalia)? Getting that game will basically give you tons of others game, once the UGC level go nuts!

  • kupomogli

Okay, only because you can play as Toro I’ll download and play it.

  • Arcm

Looking at this makes me want to watch Samurai Pizza Cats.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

This is really a nice news for Vita owner there as Vita owner i believe need more games just like what happen to 3DS during their first half year here.T_T

  • Testsubject909

More game news for the Vita is good news to me.

  • Totally giving this one a chance

  • Who are these Toro and Kuro? I’ve only ever seen Toro on the package of my imported PocketStations. Then Sony announces them for All Stars Battle Royal and now this. Did they ever have a full fledged game on a main console or are they some kind of pre-Crash Bandicoot mascots?

    • ninjabart122

They’re the mascots of Sony Japan and showed up in some playstation game that I assume was japan-only.

      • Testsubject909

That said, I would totally want Kuro… But knowing that they’re probably not going to be in the North American version…

Ah the lack of Kuro has driven me into Despair!

  • Nicholas Gatewood

Aww, man, I’d love to see these characters in the North American release of the game. Toro is totally awesome, at least I get him in Playstation All-Stars when that releases. <3
