JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle Heading To North America?

By Spencer . September 14, 2012 . 10:40am

jojoallCyberConnect2, makers of the Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm series, is also developing JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle. This PlayStation 3 title is a fighting game with JoJo and characters from the "Vento Aureo" arc.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle has only been announced for Japan, but it looks like Namco Bandai is considering a worldwide release. The publisher filed a trademark for All Star Battle in the U.S. for use with video games. Last year, Siliconera uncovered a trademark for Pirate Warriors months before Namco Bandai officially announced they were publishing One Piece: Pirate Warriors.

Yes thank you Bamco! Please let this be true.

  • Good news after good news! Keep ’em coming.

  • GotoHell

    Digital only no dub

    • doubleO7

Thats a possibility, but I’d still take that over not getting the game at all.

  • rinalicat

Hm…well, I’m gonna sit here and wait for news of an EU release before I make my plans.

    • Testsubject909

Plans on possible import pending the distribution in North America?

edit: I’m asking because that’s what I did with Warriors Orochi 3 and One Piece Pirate Warrior.

      • rinalicat

If there isn’t an English release, I’m importing from Japan but I’m waiting to hear some more before I buy for many reasons (mostly so I can make sure I have enough money first).

        • Kaiyl_kariashi

Yeah, thankfully the PS3 isn’t region locked, so if it turns out they don’t localize it (haven’t heard a confirmed yay or nay yet), you can always just get the Japanese version…it’s a fiighting don’t need to be able to read, and they’re mostly just quoting lines from the Manga anyway. Though english subs wouldn’t hurt at all, and would be MUCH cheaper to do then new VA.

  • Budgiecat

I’ll allow it. Make it happen. *waves hand*

  • Zonic505

Awesome if it’s true. It looks like it’s shaping up to be a stylish game. Even if it’s just digital, I’ll get it.

  • SirRichard

Namco have been turning their rep around as of late, haven’t they? Dark Souls, Graces f, Xillia, Ni no Kuni and now possibly Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, just to name a good few. Here’s hoping something comes of it.

    • Neophoton

Concurred. They’ve been making some stronger efforts when it comes to localizing this gen. I’m a little bit disappointed over ToV PS3 never making it over, but they’ve more than made up for that with all these other efforts.

    • Testsubject909

I agree and I am excite about Jojo but I wouldn’t add Dark Souls to their list.

To me, Dark Souls is all From Software. I just can’t connect it mentally to Namco…

      • SirRichard

Well, they did publish it abroad. Hell, they were the European publisher of Demon’s Souls too, so I have that to thank them for as well.

  • z_merquise

Wow. I hope they’ll localize it in English. Same for Project X Zone.

    • into english? I don’t. But I guess either way they’d have to change some of the band names, what will happen to MUDA MUDA MUDA?

      • No, this CAN’T be possible.

I REALLY hope that they won’t do such a thing.

Seriously, there’s a lot of games that are based on the musical quotes, why JOJO can’t??? The best manga ever made!

        • There’s a good chance nothing would happen anyway since this is such a niche title. But sometimes these companies want to protect themselves from even the possibility of something going wrong.

    • You know Capcom will never let us have Project X Zone.

Which is funny, because this time it’s Namco that wants to bring it Stateside when they were the ones who denied us Namco X Capcom.

  • Tales_of_Master

F*** YEA.. no no no no, there is no use getting hyped now before the game is officially localized, but if this turn out to be true, 2012 will officially become my best year ever :D

    • Göran Isacson

Ha ha, I am in one hundred percent agreement with you. This COULD be so cool IF it comes out… but it’s just as well to wait and see. Having too much hope and putting too much faith into these beautiful dream projects being available everywhere has burned me too many times in the past.

  • “Oh come on! It was obvious!”

  • Solomon_Kano

  • MrSirFeatherFang

Wow and I thought the musical references would make it impossible, but I’m fine if they change the names (since I think I would know all of them by now).
    You next line will be…
You planned this, didn’t you NBGI?

    • I’m not!!! Musical references must be there. It’s an homage to all the bands/songs/singers, not offensive !! And proof that the author Araki has real good tastes!!

  • Uhm, Spencer, why you say that this game have “the characters of Vento Aureo arcs”?

It’s just the 5th of the 8 parts of this leggendary manga.

You should ALL read it. Really.

    • TiamatNM

he’s just putting a plug for another article.  it’s pretty obvious part 5 chars would be in this when it has chars for part 1-7

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

  • StaticDestroyer

I really hope this sees a worldwide release. And, with any luck, spawns a series in the same vein as the ultimate ninja games.

  • Is there a way to definetely convince Namco to take all over THE WORLD this game??

    Where I can contact them?

  • I got into JJBA a few years ago, but only liked looking at the fanart until this past week I was like, “No. I need to read the manga.”.
Anyway, the point is…TAKE MY MONEY.

    • Bentan

  • puchinri

    Oh goodness, I really hope this gets localized! ;u;
    It’s CC2 and Jojo. It has to happen~! ♥
