Eyes On Persona 4 Fashion Glasses

By Spencer . September 15, 2012 . 4:30pm

If you want to see through TV world fog* grab a pair of Persona 4 fashion glasses. These accessories, probably handmade by Teddie, are based on the anime series Persona 4 the Animation. Each pair costs 3,150 yen ($40) and they’ll be available in spring 2013.

*Note: These really don’t help you see through fog and the TV world, to the best of our knowledge, doesn’t exist.

Was there ever merchandise in the form of Evokers? The commercial would have been scary.

  • canarinta

    Wow! They look…

    …ugly, and plastic-y.

  • $40 pieces of cheap plastic.

  • IshimaruKaito

gotta make money any way u can i guess

  • neocatzon

Overpriced glasses.. better just buy a custom made.

  • I’m just going to pop out the lens of my 3D movie glasses and paint them, thanks. :P

  • Noba boba

    Wow, that’s so hip.

  • OH MY GOD!!!

I just got a new pair of prescription glasses 4 days ago. After I took them home I thought “Wow, these really look Yuu’s (P4) glasses!” And then I wondered if there were any official Persona glasses… this is the 3rd time this week something like this has happened, with me thinking about something and then something about what I was thinking about being posted on one of the sites I frequent (Wonderful Generation, tumblr, Siliconera, etc.)

  • aquaticus231

Wow I was kind of expecting those to be a lot more expensive than that, but $40 is reasonable price imo(I paid the same price for my glasses I have now) and I actually like the frames that they’re offering. They look nice! :)

Remember folks. A poor Teddie in a workshop has labored hours on end to provide you with these fine items. Won’t you have a heart and help him get out of the workshop by purchasing the fruits of his forced labor? (Don’t ask how that works, just do it).

    • The only reason it took hours was because he doesn’t have thumbs.

(Unless he slips out of skin or something.)

      • Testsubject909

Side note, the only glasses I’d go for are the Kanji glasses.

And even then, I probably wouldn’t.

  • agent_t_l

These better be damage resistant, cause Imma throw em off my face lie Yu every time I feel like it.

  • thaKingRocka

YESSSS!!!! I just got a new prescription and was looking to buy a pair of the MC frames as another pair. I am all over these.

  • Niyari

     available from where?

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Man if I could match these to my prescription lenses I’d so get Brotag’s

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

    chies <3

  • Sweet Sui ♥

“…And the TV world, to the best of our knowledge, doesn’t exist.”

The TV world DOESN’T EXIST?! *gasp* All I know is a liiiiiiiiiiieeeeeee~! :O LOL

Edit: On a side note, I would totally get Yosuke’s glasses being the loyal fangirl I am :3. But, unfortunately, with school having already started for me, I don’t have $40 dollars to spend on glasses that I, in all honestly, would probably never wear :/ Oh well, lol.

  • Daniel Kursave

any idea if i can get perscription lenses put inside these?

    •  Yea, thinking about this too. My vision got bad lately so im thinking about the possiblity to use this glasses as main ones.

    • Alphabet Soup

I think they were actually marketing real frames based on P4 earlier this year that were more expensive, so I don’t know that these would hold the lenses.

  • Leon_Tekashi

And the milking continues…But in a good way.

  • Barrylocke89

They do look a bit…cheap. But at least they don’t cost 90+ bucks like those glasses from last year:

At 40 dollars, that means they’re at least a decent price for a serious cosplayer. Though I suppose a savvier shopper could probably find some Persona 4-esque glasses for less if they looked around.

  • Maia Kasoya

    Where’s Teddie’s bandit mask? I want that.

  • Darkrise

If they made sunglasses too I would go for it.

  • Shadowman

I wouldn’t mind a pair of Kanji sunglass.

  • Just ordinary glass

  • Neophoton

I’d get Naoto’s if prescription lenses could be put in these, but I doubt at that’s possible. I’ve got horrible vision, so anything that doesn’t match my prescription lenses won’t do. ):

  • rinalicat

Hm…I’d like Yukiko’s; they’re red and they look like they’d fit my face shape :3

  • Smashlampjaw

MY EYES! THE GLASSES THEY DO NOTHING!!! (no one will get this ref.)

  • dahuuuundge

just when I thought they couldn’t milk the brand name further with a live action stage production

  • aoihana

Ah, glasses. My weakness. You know, these glasses are pretty great, I think! I think 3,150円  is a reasonable price, and I love how unique each pair is. Personally, I like red frames, but I really like Chie’s glasses. (◕‿◕✿)

    • ShawnOtakuSomething

      great minds think alike XD

  • protofox

i want this. and i want my REAL lenses put in them.

    •  Same here; I hope there’s some supplier to optometrists out there who’s also a fan, and has the connections to make a deal.  I need a new pair of glasses soon, anyway.  Some one, please!!

  • Michael Cadogan

Now cosplayers can get official glasses. Woot.

  • yoUNg_grOUp568

It’s funny because before coming here I wondered if anyone has made Persona 4 glasses.

  • fortunecookietimeparadox

So Atlus, are the glasses region locked?

  • If they’re costing about $40, they must be some quality glasses.

  • MrSirFeatherFang

    My solution:
    Wear contacts
    Wear said glasses

I was seriously going to do this for the $90 one last year, but then I thought about how the glasses would look on me… plus I could kind of buy real ones at that price lol

  • These really don’t help you see through fog and the TV world, to the best of our knowledge, doesn’t exist.

Yuu and Kanji one looks not bad.

  • I think I’m going to buy a pair and make the lenses myself so I can wear them heheh :D

  • Guest

I want Yu’s glasses, though it would be somewhat useless for me to buy them. I’d rather get a figure or something.

  • Huh… Instead of picking out new frames at the eye doctor’s, I wonder what would happen if I said I brought my own and just handed over a pair of one of these.

    • aoihana

Actually, in many cases you can bring in your own frames to an optometrist and get them fitted with lenses. The frames would probably be inspected for their integrity, of course, and it varies from optometrist-to-optometrist/boutique, but it should be fine. (◕‿◕✿)

      •  I’d almost want the Yukiko ones for my next pair.

  • Ace

    This is cool.

  • EggsHemingway

It’s actually mentioned in red print in the picture and the manufacturer’s website (movic.jp) that these glasses are not meant to be used for vision correction aka like regular glasses. I guess they’re purely for fashion use?

「視力矯正用ではございません。ご了承ください。 」Roughly translates into, “Not meant to be used as vision correcting glasses. Please understand.”

  • Is there any way to preorder these? I don’t want to miss out like I did last Spring!

  • will these glasses enhance my swag,( one step closer to becoming Yu narukami.)

  • Mallory

I bought mine back in Febuary. Anyone now when they’ll be released and sent?
