As a lead up to Summon Night 5, a brand new game in the series from Felistella, Namco Bandai is re-releasing Summon Night 3 and Summon Night 4 for PSP. Both games have new anime introductions and gameplay tweaks, which we covered earlier.

Summon Night 4 comes out on November 15. The tail end of the clip shows the familiars your protagonist can partner with in Summon Night 5. Here’s more information about the mecha and girl from the phantom beast world.

    Will never come here.

By default, isn’t Summon Night’s budget just loose change in comparison to Dragonball/Naruto profits?

I think the openings you’re talking about are not new but from the PS2. If  i am right, you can find them pretty easily on youtube

  • 5 might get here thy trying to reboot the series so thy might go for a oversea release aswell to see how well it do but of course on PSN

  • Areuto

O My GAWD I want to play summon night again soooooo badly

  • I wish we could have these in the West TT w  TT

  • lostforeverinspace

    I wish they came over ;_;

  • Leon_Tekashi

I never played a Summon Night game but I saw videos of SN: Swordcraft Story 1-3 (Third being only Japanese.) The series looks really fun. Too bad the chances of Namco Bandai localizing this is slim to none due to how they handle localization and stuff…

By the looks of things SK5 takes place during an industrial period where as SK4 looked more late Renaissance. Also by the very last segment of the trailer they might have animated character profiles, not traditional static ones.

And I really can’t believe how bad I’m Jonesing for a decent JPRG, but I just can’t get into playing on handhelds. My PSP has only been collecting dust and I couldn’t keep interest in the latter versions of the Gameboy for more than a few months, nevermind the DS.

I have to say it was better as a Action RPG

      You’re referring to Swordcraft Story?

If you are, it worked for that.

The original titles I can’t picture working with that system to be brutally honest. The original games had a completely different feeling than Swordcraft Story through and through.

  • Z3

I really want to play the main SM games. Loved the Spin-offs in the GBA

  • Reiko_Chan

I really wish Namco Bandai would take a chance and localize this. I know it wouldn’t bring in as much profit as Naruto/Dragonball but if they took the time to localize titles like this they could build up the fan base.

Looks great. Even though I know he’s saying ‘Summon Night’, all I keep imagining is a salmon knight… -_-
