Steampunk Visual Novel Shiei no Sona-Nyl Coming To PSP

Shiei no Sona-Nyl: What a Beautiful Memories takes place in 1907 where steam is the main source of power. Overuse caused New York to go dark and the government sealed the city.  An amnesiac girl named Lily wakes up in New York’s ruins and walks towards Manhattan with a boy guiding her.

Meanwhile, Elicia steps into New York, the only person in five years to do so. What happened in New York five years ago? You’ll have to play Shiei no Sona-Nyl: What a Beautiful Memories to find out (because I have no idea!).

Liar-soft originally made Shiei no Sona-Nyl: What a Beautiful Memories for PC and released it in 2010. It’s coming to PSP sometime in the future.

psp still going strong, artwork looks great

  • It looks rather stunning.

I love it! If more psp games are coming out solely in Japan, I’m afraid Vita’ll be history. Or at least cut the Vita’s price, Sony.. =___=

  • Ladius

It’s great to see Liarsoft on console, Shikkoku no Sharnoth is still one of the most artistically inspired visual novels I have had the pleasure of reading.

The “What a Beautiful ” series art-style really is interesting. I have played a bit of Sekien no Inganock (that has a fan translation), but I didn’t like that it only was partially voiced so I haven’t finish it.
Like Ladius I think its great to see it on a console.

  • Hmm, the plot sounds interesting. And on top of this, the art looks quite stylish!!

Pity its chances of localisation is low….. We need more VN like this in english…..

  • Raze

    Shikkoku no Sharnoth right??
Meh…I like Sekien no Inganock better…

  • Alexandra Cordes

If only this would be translated like two of the others were, I’d be happy… : (

    • Don’t worry, I’ll get to Valusia/Sona-Nyl eventually.

      • Alexandra Cordes

        Wait… You mean you’re going to translate both of them!? Oh gosh… I think I’m going to die of happiness. ;^;

  • Lazulis

LIAR-SOFT, I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Aaaaah, so happy they’re getting more exposure!

  • Göran Isacson

Have to admit, I really like the look of the character design and the potential plot… though I’d REALLY like to see the size of the boiler that caused an explosion THAT big.

  • Looks like a very interesting game… unfortunetely to me, i can’t read Japanese… and I don’t plan buying a PSP… guess I’ll have to get a friend with one!
