swars1Sakura Wars: All-Star Collection is all about nostalgia. The card game has bosses from previous games to battle and cards representing iconic scenes.

The LIPS (Live Interactive Picture System) is in Sakura Wars: All-Star Collection too. You can talk to character cards and increase their motivation stat for each card.

Sakura Wars: All-Star Collection comes out on September 28.

  • Seems like a well thought out spinoff.  I probably will never be able to play any GREE games but I’m sure fansites rip the artwork for enjoyment still.

I still got “So Long, My Love” I actually like that game

What a good way to remember the franchise is dead and with 0 probability of coming back…

    •  Project X Zone

Also the series isn’t exactly a long dead franchise, the fifth game was only released in 2005 (better than many other long running SEGA franchises) with spinoffs beyond this one released on DS for example.

RED has been bought by a Chinese company, ST V flopped (I doubt the DS dungeon crawler set the world on fire as well), the only new thing is a mobage sort of spinoff (not sure how the browser based game went) for another demographic. Plus SEGA is basically in the red all the time, so I doubt any real attempt can be made.
Not to mention, for those who liked the original Hanagumi, that Sumire’s voice actress retired a long time ago.

       Stop that.
      It hurts.

      But it’s probably true.
