Sony why ! Stop pushing the psp and start pushing the vita more by just giving a 50 dollar price drop for the holidays or include a memory card with it for the holidays to.

Sorry if i sound like I’m hating I’m just frustrated with sony right now.

In an interview in the UK, they said something like this: for the holiday season, they might work with retailers to add value to the package by having some forms of offers. In regards to price drop, they will only consider reducing the price next year.

Well I’m just worried that if there are not enough people with vitas in time for  the games coming out next year. I don’t want soul sacrifice, gods eater 2, and phantasy star online 2( these are the games i want ) to do badly and for sony to lose support. Im just nervous that it might come after the games are released because i think ss and ge2 are coming out in spring.

        Thanks for the article.

Isn’t gods eater 2 a psp game as well?
If so, I wouldn’t worry about it specifically….

          • nirvana123

            it is

    • Paradox me

Pulling the plug on the PSP and issuing a $50 price drop for the Vita would cost Sony a lot of money.

The Vita’s price drop is inevitable and will hopefully pay off in the long run, but the PSP is selling as well or better than the PS3 and Vita, and is likely much more profitable than either to boot.

They’d do well to milk that system for as long as they can.

True but then I’m frustrated why they are in disbelief that third party’s aren’t making game for the vita when the developers can make more money on a cheeper system. For Developers theres no reason to make games for the vita if they can still make money on the psp the only way to get them to switch to the vita is to get more people to buy the system. Again i know psp titles are slowing down but i think that is because of the 3ds not the vita. Also if I’m wrong please respond because i am wondering if I’m missing something.

And also i said a 50 dollar price drop for the holidays to make it more people buy so when the biggest game for the vita is released (soul sacrifice) there are more units out there. And if it seems like I’m hating on sony I’m not i love my psp (for the games not hardware but games are what count) and I LOVE Sony of Japan and the games they make.

What the hell is the point? I remember Nintendo still pushing DSi bundles despite the 3DS being on the market. You’re not really helping the Vita, Sony…

    • Manny Being Manny

The point is that the PSP is still very viable in Japan and its in Sonys best interest to make money where you can.

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Well, this is not strange here as currently, there are still a lot of people buying PSP compared to Vita.

Rather than keep pushing Vita which is not selling really well, it would be better to use PSP as efficiently as possible till its last lifespan.

  • Aisioux

I personally think it’s good if the PsP is selling and doing well (Even though, it’s the new step child thrown into the attic to clean stuff that doesn’t need to be clean) I say why not.

If Sony wants to win me over, all they need to do is find a way to get the Japanese Playstation Network to sync with the North American Playstation Network so I can download all my perverted games such as Queen’s Blade Spiral Chaos, Akiba’s Trip… *Cough, MHP3 Cough*. I just think Sony needs to fire every single last person who supports the PsP and hire a new batch of Ps Vita followers. Cult Style. Lmao.

  • Aisioux

P.S, GOD EATER 2 For localization Please. Lmao. That is all. I’ll stop typing, I promise lol.

It looks beautiful, but i wonder if the red part will use that cheap paint that peels off like it did on the Ghost of sparta edition.

MAKE GAMES FOR THE VITA!  EVERYONE BUY THE VITA!  ITS THE SAME SONY EXPERIENCE BUT MUCH BETTER!  YOU’LL LOVE IT!

(psst…but just in case here’s a cool nice new PSP IF you really must have it…don’t tell anyone…oh and almost all the big releases are PSP but don’t tell anyone that either…)

Sigh, i’m never going to get the franchises i want on Vita.

  • ddh819

If Sony were to cut off the PSP now, it does not necessarily mean all those developers will automatically switch all their projects to the Vita.

  • Demeanor

Awesome color scheme, I’d buy it if I needed it :P

  • http://blackstar2661.deviantart.com/ SilverSpades

First a SAO game is announced, and now a new PSP color. Could roll in some money if done right.

  • Tom_Phoenix

People really need to stop making Vita comments every time Sony releases a new PSP bundle. The PSP is still selling in Japan and Sony is making a profit on them. Furthermore, Sony ignoring the PSP isn’t going to automatically result in Vita’s revival, since Vita has more serious problems than the fact that the PSP is still alive. So Sony has every reason to continue releasing hardware bundles, such as this one.

Besides, this is hardly atypical of Sony. The PSOne was released after the PS2 came out and Sony continued to make revisions of the PS2 after the PS3′s release.

  • Sail

Sell more PSPs to gain a small profit to eventually decrease the price of the Vita to gain a small profit.

    I guess it could work.
