Namco Bandai is turning Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic into an action RPG. The Nintendo 3DS game lets you play as Aladdin or Alibaba. Aladdin uses spells like a magic missile attack to defeat antslimes. Alibaba fights with a sword. These new screenshots show him cutting a Hyacinth, a carnivorous plant, in the desert.

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic is slated for release in spring 2013.

Hmm i seems the game here seems to start on a very early arc there as we can still see that Ali Baba haven’t got his Amon and there are still some of those slime monster.^_^

While i wanted to say, i hope this game come here, considering this is Bamco and……. this is a manga/anime based series, the chance for this game is slim to zero.T_T

Hmm, can’t tell if this is convenient timing for a game or too soon for its own good.

There are rarely things that is too fast though.^_^

Claymore and D-Grayman games for DS is released when the anime started. So i don’t think it is a wrong move to actually use the game popularity here.^_^

The 3d models look so good >.<

This game must have Aladdin diving into Tig Ole Bitties or else it's not a true Magi game!
