Sweet. Only I find it potentially ironic and mildly amusing that you could win a platform to play the game on which could be inferior to the one you’re currently using.

well its just for collectors purposes but your right it is kinda funny

  • nirvana123

congrats ! Can’t wait for this game to come over.

  • Oh my. Levels of want juice… rising… think I might…. explode!
Can’t wait for the western version of this to come out. Was playing the Japanese one for a while, but for some reason, I can’t patch and update when I fire up the launcher now… :(

Amazing! Good work Sega! can’t wait to try it!

Oh God, not Alienware. I know that Alienware has always wanted to be the go-to brand for gaming PCs, but they arent’y build nearly as well as ASUS and MSI laptops.

Also, 1 million users just for this mmorpg. And what… 30 million fans of Touhou? Maybe more? What was that about PC gaming not existing in Japan whatsoever? They have a huge doujin and online game boom.

I wish more Japanese developers would realize there’s a market for the PC, including in Japan, if handled right. And we could get more Japanese games with a version done for the platform, and done well. I want more jRPGs than The Last Remnant and Ys!

If PCs didn’t matter to anybody in Japan, this definitely wouldn’t be a thing.

And by the way, this much success in Japan is your cue, SEGA, to bring this game to the West. I’ll take this game with a side of Skies of Arcadia. Please.

    • As much as I agree with you on the subject of Touhou, Sega is going multiplat with PSO2, what with the imminent release of the Vita and smartphone versions.

And considering the decent amount of PSO fans in the states, the international version may do much better on PC than in Japan.

On the subject of Ys, however… there is a reason Falcom moved their sights to platforms such as PSP, despite essentially being the face of PC RPGs for years.

      • CirnoLakes

I think it might be a little bit hasty to assume Ys is moving to handhelds because of something like the PC becoming even less popular in Japan. Which I don’t think it is.

If anything, it seems like the PC platform is much more popular in Japan now, that is was, say, in the 90s and 2000s.

    • Their laptops are actually built very well, the price just hikes the better the components included in the system. Also on aesthetics, I think they’ve pretty much won that race.

    • SEGA is reading this, yes.

    • Brandonmkii

Sorry if I’m mistaken, but your post seems to make me think that you don’t know that this game has already been confirmed to be coming to the west.

  • Cool, guess I’ll keep grinding to get that gunner class in the meantime ;D

  • I really hope they do something like this when it gets localized ^_^

  • Valtiel Ikari

it would be nice if they give us the posibilitie to change our costume colour free… and I want that laptop, it’s that awesome!

  • Luna Kazemaru

I hope you all know if you aren’t living in Japan you aren’t going to win a thing lol.

    • *sniffle* Was a little sad about it haha.

    • Rolling Guy

I was keeping my hopes up for the laptop. My sh*tty one can only play in the lowest setting and it’s STILL lagging.. Now… “orz

  • Kai2591

Nice. Giving away an Alienware just for playing :)
