toej2ToeJam & Earl is the next franchise on Sega’s digital revival list – a bit of news Siliconera already reported back in July. Sega set a release date for ToeJam & Earl and the platfomer sequel ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron. You can get both games with trophies and online co-op for PlayStation 3 on November 6. Each game will cost $4.99.

Sega is also bundling ToeJam & Earl and ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron together for Xbox 360 as Sega Vintage Collection: ToeJam & Earl. This 800 Microsoft Point ($10) bundle comes out on November 7. Both games have been updated with online co-op and achievements.

Haven’t played Toejam & Earl in ages, honestly, might just pick these up for the hell of it. Sega sure know how to get the best out of their backlog, huh?

Everytime i see Sega classic game being ported to PSN or XBLA, it makes me happy and a bit sad here.T_T

Where have you gone my good old Sega?T_T

TJ&E is an all time classic.  Very weird realtime rogue-like.  Great 2 player co-op (now with online) is the one reason I am somewhat tempted to get this on PSN, despite having played it to death on Genesis and then re-buying it on Wii Virtual Console.

I’d really like to see a new game, which apparently the creator has some interest in doing.  The Xbox TJ&E3 wasn’t bad, would like to see the series continue.

So they struck a deal with the original IP owners, then?
