There’s a new "TPS" game with the Puella Magi Madoka Magica girls. TPS is in quotes because Puella Magi Madoka Magica TPS featuring Sayaka Miki & Sakura Kyoko is far from your typical third person shooter since Sayaka starts without any magical powers.
In stage one you play as Sayaka before she has her Puella Magi powers, so she walks through dungeons attacking monsters with a bat. Sayaka has her magical abilities in stage two and is armed with a saber, one of her early weapons. Later on, the game puts you in control of Sakura who has a staff. Players can use magic spells by tapping the Soul Gem icon on the screen, but after each use the gem gets dirty. If the Soul Gem is covered in dirt you won’t be able to use magic.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica TPS featuring Sayaka Miki & Sakura Kyoko has three difficulty levels: easy, medium, and hard plus a gallery where you can unlock anime scenes depending on your clear time. Puella Magi Madoka Magica TPS featuring Sayaka Miki & Sakura Kyoko is available now on Yahoo’s marketplace for Android devices 2.2 and up. The game costs 630 yen ($8).
