Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus Coming To PS3 On November 1

By Spencer . October 19, 2012 . 12:37am

imageArc System Works is bringing Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus to PlayStation Network on November 1. An Xbox 360 version will be available a week earlier on October 24 for 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15).

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus has the same content as the 2008 PlayStation 2 release plus online play over Xbox Live or PlayStation Network.

Arc System Works plans to update Guilty Gear XX Accent Core with a game balance patch to bring the game up to the current arcade version, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R, at a later date.

A dizzy handshake and Robo-Ky high five to Luna Kazmaru for the tip. Thanks!

Going to say this right now. CHILL OUT ITS ONLY A WEEK!

    • xAKUM3TSUx

Agreed. a month, hell even two weeks i’d have a little sympathy for complaints…but this is just a week we’re talking about. Chill!

  • Nemesis_Dawn

As someone who only buys my fighting games on PS3, I would complain…if Sony didn’t have that PSN deal going on this month where if you spend $100, you get $20 in your account in November. Currently at $90 and Okami comes out soon, so I guess I’ll be getting this for free. :)

Haha, that’s the one reason I am a little annoyed!  I spent a bunch of money on PSN games at the very end of September that I could have waited a few days on, and I need to find a little more to reach $100 for October and get that $20 back…

      October:
      New Little King’s Story: $39.99
      Nights: $9.99
      Retro City Rampage: $14.99
      Okami HD (10/30): $19.99

Leaving me sitting right at $85 (yeah a few cents short, I can buy a costume or something).  SURE WOULD BE NICE IF THERE WAS A $15 GAME I WANTED THAT RELEASED IN OCTOBER!!!  ;)

    Kool.
Now I can go ahead & buy Sonic Adventure 2.

I haven’t the foggiest idea of how many GGXX tweaks and ports this makes. 30 something?

    • Astrotrain

       Five.

  • Go2hell66

A week is a long time but i can wait, so if were just getting an update patch does that mean we won’t get the awesome burst icon’s like the arcade version :(

  • neo_firenze

I see this is a Japan release date. November 1 (a Thursday) would be very odd for US PSN, since the store typically updates on Tuesdays.

Perhaps it will arrive on US PSN on 10/23 or 10/30… Here’s hoping it does, I’d like it to count toward my $100 for the PSN October promotion!

  • Repede91

Excellent timing! This will arrive just in time for my $20 in “free” PSN credits.

And now to wait for the European release to come out over here, because that is where I live and that is how I want to play it because darnit ArcSys WHY U PUT STORY-SEQUEL IN HELLA HARD TO OBTAIN GAME?

Bro, here’s fellow European here! You can bypass the whole USA-PSN-EU-PSN Barrier thinga-majing. Just seek the help of the internetz and you’ll be able to buy them games on the USA or Japanese PSN in no time!

      • Göran Isacson

Oh, THAT I know. Thing is that I want to experience the NARRATIVE (yes I like Guilty Gears story I am weird like that), and if this gets released in Japan only, well… I’m still nowhere better off than I used to be, you know?

        • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001059050301 Jermaine Kanhai

I get you, bro. It’s just that I already thought GG is coming to the US while Europe is questionable. I think, no… wasn’t it kinda confirmed that it goes to the US? Anyway, as long as it comes in English, I guess there’s no problem ;).

          • Göran Isacson

Oooh, I hadn’t even heard that it might not come to Europe. Well, it is as you say: as long as it comes out in the US and in English, it’s all good with m :)

But… That’s a Thursday. The PSN Store updates on Tuesday. WHAT’S GOING ON
