Bravely Default Flies Into Square Enix MMORPG With Crossover Costumes

By Spencer . October 22, 2012 . 11:20am

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy has been a strong seller for Square Enix, and who knows—maybe it will get a multiplayer online RPG like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest a decade later. Until then we’ll have to settle for these Bravely Default crossover costumes in Fantasy Earth Zero.

Players can get outfits like Tiz’s freelancer costume and Lingabel’s Red Mage outfit by playing the Bravely Default roulette. You can play it once a day and a spin costs one gold coin.

Gamepot also has a few crossover weapons like the Artemis Bow, the Ominous Rod (from Ominous Crow, one of Bravely Default’s rival job masters), and Airy’s spirit.

The collaboration starts today, but won’t ever come to the West. Why? Gamepot closed the English version of Fantasy Earth Zero last year.

  • but but… wasn’t FeZ closed down a year ago over here ;_;

    • ShawnOtakuSomething

      I know right?

    • Just Tim

Do you remember any major guild in-game?

      •  no sorry, i only played it during month 1 of its release at NA, so yeah, none of the guilds were that good at that time

        • Just Tim

I still remember when a Japanese guild from 2ch called Kamikaze won wars on their own in the US server.

        • Just Tim

Also, can you remember player names?  I still remember Namath, Kosakai, Xypher, to name a few.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

Fantasy Earth Zero? really? its closed in the states  well…. theres always eng patch

  • SprintsMcGee

Still waiting on that localization announcement

  • PABLO Rapetti Perez

Along Fire Emblem 3DS and the Inazuma Eleven Collection, my most awaited 3DS game.

  • Herok♞

I would rather it fly into American and European 3DS’.

  • Just Tim

And as a former US #FEZ Fantasy Earth Zero player, you know how it got shut down?  A cheater guild got friends in management.

I’m on record, ergo what’s been said has been said.

Anyway, I’m glad Square Enix still cares about Fantasy Earth Zero, even if it’s just Japan only.

  • I wish there was a collab crossover between SE and Nintendo for a localization.

So what does BDFF get in exchange for Costumes and Weapons huh?

  • You brought back sad memories, was that last line really necessary? ;_;

    Kingdom of Netzavare REPRESENT

    • Just Tim

The Netz player chars I remember are: Ytterili, Pipp, Luella, Feywood, Ichibi, Utada123, alongside PHOENIX & Panacea guilds.

    • Just Tim

Who were you back in US FEZ?

      • Just a nobody that played mostly during the Beta. This article made me remember the game and back in those days you were either Netzavare or that nation with Gandalf Wakamoto

        • Just Tim

I started during Open Beta, when I outright said that it needed lefthanded controls and FEZ was the 1st MMO I ever played.

  • Corey Owens

It’s a shame the game bombed here in NA.

    • Just Tim

It bombed, thanks mainly to lagswitchers like Kosakai, cheater hack guilds like TSUNDERE, and a corrupt GM name Yoh, who was in cahoots with TSUNDERE.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Ohh this is a nice little thing here. Hope that with the inclusion to the online game there, it will allow many gamer to be exposed for the game there and end up buying the game in long term process.

And how knows, if the game did really well we will get Bravely Default 2?^_^
