Yakuza 1+2 HD Edition Update Makes Heating Up Even Easier

imageKazuma Kiryu may hang his head in shame if you play Yakuza 1+2 HD Edition in easy mode, but we won’t judge you. Especially since Sega plans on releasing an online update that makes Yakuza 1+2 HD Edition even easier.

On November 15, two weeks after Yakuza 1+2 HD Edition comes out, you can get a patch for "Easy + Heatup" mode. This makes the heat up gauge fill up faster and decrease less, so you can use heat actions more often.

Yakuza 1+2 HD Edition will be available on November 1 for 5,229 yen ($65) in stores or 4,700 yen ($59) on PlayStation Network. The download version will take up 19 GB of space.

I get the feeling we’ll get the collection as a digital download only, to save on releasing it outide of Japan.

      I hope not :|

I hope we get it at all.

        • Alos88

Exactly, I’d rather have a retail copy but this is much better than not getting it at all.

If it’s digital only I’m not getting it.  I already own both games on the PS2.  I’ll deal with upscaled graphics and 4:3.

          • Depending how big the GB download files are because the PS3 games force the player install a load of GB just to play each game!

I rather a retail version FTW. Maybe Sega can justify a retail release by having Yakuza Kenzan with it since we didn’t get that one years ago.

Seems like a pretty safe bet. We’ve even gotten Dead Souls, after all. In fact, I’m kinda curious why anyone would jump to the conclusion that it should only be available as a download, anyway.

that…wouldn’t be ideal but it’s still much better than not getting it at all >.<

    19 gigs? What the eff?

  • badmoogle

I remember the last boss fight in Yakuza 2 was quite hard on normal so this will hopefully make things a bit easier for newcomers to the series.

    19 GB’s holy crap.
And that is one of the many reasons I stick to physical copies.
