imageDuring Nintendo Direct, Square Enix producer Yosuke Saito spoke about Dragon Quest X. The game was recently updated with Paladin and Ranger jobs. More updates are planned for the future with automatic party matchmaking and more character customization options.

Dragon Quest X is also coming to Wii U in spring 2013. Before the Wii U version launches Square Enix will host an open beta test in February. Wii U premium sets in Japan include the Dragon Quest X open beta and character data can be transferred into the full game.

What’s new in Dragon Quest X for Wii U? Not too much since it shares the same game world with the Wii release. The Wii U version will have HD graphics, an option to play Dragon Quest X on the Wii U gamepad, and a feature that lets you use the Wii U gamepad like a keyboard.

so will the Wii U version be up to speed with the Wii version?

including all the updates with inventory space and job classes?

if anything, the Wii U version should at least be able to stand on it’s own.

Since it’s Squarenix i expect them to treat Wii/U DQ10 like they do FFXI in regards to updates, which is having them be = and updated together.
