Earth Defense Force 4 has different kinds of defenders. You can play as the Ranger, your standard giant ant shooter, or the fly around the screen using the Wing Diver’s jetpack. Famitsu introduced a third type of Earth defender this week, the Air Raider.

The Air Raider can support other players by calling in air strike or a vehicle drop. Air Raiders can call motorbikes, tanks, and helicopters. They can also heal allied units and drop bombs. Air Raiders can place land mines, remote controlled bombs, and automatic firing turrets.
