Dynasty Warriors 8 Storm Rushes With Yue Jin And Xiahou Dun Screenshots

Dynasty Warriors 8 is on track for release next year with over 70 warlords to play as and a handful of gameplay tweaks. You can play Dynasty Warriors 8 in story mode, free mode, view an image gallery or pick tutorial mode to learn the basics. The Jin Kingdom is in the game and the story will have some "what if" scenarios.

Yue Jin is one of the new characters from the Wei clan and fights with twin hookswords.

Li Dang is armed with a wheel halberd. He has a knack for spotting enemy traps.

You can’t have a Dynasty Warriors game with Xiahou Dun. He slashes through armies with a scimitar.

Zhao Yun from the Shu side rushes into battle with a Dragon Spear in hand.

Dynasty Warriors 8 has new gameplay systems like Storm Rush. If your weapon has an edge over your opponent you can breakthrough their defense and hit them with a flurry of strikes.

Variable Counter is a skill you can use if your weapon has a disadvantage against the enemy’s. This move knocks the opponent and surrounding units back and changes your weapon. Just like Dynasty Warriors 7 you can switch weapons in battle.

When certain conditions are met you can do an Awakening. This buffs your character and unlocks your True Musou attack if you can defeat enough enemies when Awakening status is active.
