DoDonPachi Saidaioujou Adds Extra Character For Arrange Mode

By Spencer . November 7, 2012 . 4:30pm

Cave is adding new content for the home version of DoDonPachi Saidaioujou. The Xbox 360 version has an opening movie with a theme song sung by Aya Hirano (Neon in Sigma Harmonics and Polka in Eternal Sonata).

Aya also voices Saya, a new character you can play as in arrange mode. Saya despises Hibachi, the true final boss in DoDonPachi Saidaioujou, and likes Mad Bunny & Mad Teddy.

DoDonPachi Saidaioujou is slated for spring 2013 on Xbox 360. Makoto Asada told Siliconera he’s interested in releasing DoDonPachi Saidaioujou in the West on the same day the game comes out in Japan.

Hurray, a better quality image than what was on famitsu. *saves*
She seems more suited to Death Smiles though, lol. :P

In any case, interested in hearing an arrange soundtrack.

    • Juuu

She does! And weren’t Mad Bunny and Teddy bosses in Deathsmiles 2? Hm. I’m not complaining though, what a cutie!

Not a big Hirano fan or anything but this is definitely what Cave needed to do to stir up some hype for this game.  She’s kind of washed up now but the fact that Cave got a fairly big name to back there game in some way is going to do them a lot of good in the long run. Hopefully.

Please, Cave, I don’t want you to go bankrupt….

Now does any place have this game for preorder yet…?

I was thinking the same thing. Didn’t her manager stop her from being a voice actress and made her focus on her acting career? I know that she hasn’t being in any new anime except a role in Recorder and Randsell and her recurring role every week in Fairy Tail.

On the other hand, not mentioned in this article are the name of the other voice actresses. Yukana as Shuri, Kitamura Eri as Hikari and Noto Mamiko as Maria, all of whom are bigger names than Hirano Aya. So even people who are not fans of Hirano Aya have something to look forward to.

  • Is that THE game that will make me go back to Xbox? :o

  • Yuriangels

ahhhhhhhh! she is so cute *girly squeal*. too bad I don’t have a 360 :(

    Don Don Don.^_^

360 indeed is shump haven lol.^_^

    • CirnoLakes

It’s interesting how many STGs the XBOX 360 has.

It’s as if somebody told Cave, “The XBOX 360 is the platform for shooters!” and they got the wrong idea.

Haha. I kid. And not that it’s a bad thing. Gives Japanese folks a greater reason to own the 360 other than exclusives like [email protected] And it’s a nice little Japanese invasion of Western hardware. I love my Deathsmiles plate on my XBOX 360.

      • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

I actually never thing of 360 as shooting console lol as they had many VN and shump there.

I actually firstly considered 360 as the succesor of Sega machines but sadly, it never happended.T_T

  • Zonic505

Hah, I just noticed the teddy & bunny have different outfits as well. Nice little touch.

  • SprintsMcGee

This might be a reason to actually turn my 360 on.

  • CirnoLakes

    Cute! Really really cute!

  • “Saya despises Hibachi, the true final boss in DoDonPachi Saidaioujou, and likes Mad Bunny & Mad Teddy.”

    And I likes Saya =^_^=

    “Dusts off 360”

  • Neat. I just bought a 360 for cheap too. =D

  • Hemppa

The moe girls keep plaguing this genre. Also makes playing these games with anybody else not viable as it would weird them out completely. It’s not like being bullet hell games they are at all approachable in the first place.

  • Kai2591

    Nagi Ryou art ftw~

  • Brimfyre

Kind of sad Aya Hirano has to even be identified anymore and not by titles anyone recognizes her from. Hope she can get back on top one day.

  • Tianyu Wei

Aya Hirano is starring like minor roles now in like 2nd tier anime like Girls and Panzer lol… I kind of actually feel sorry for her now.
