Be An Idol Manager Or A Rickshaw Driver In Yakuza 5

By Spencer . November 9, 2012 . 12:33am

Yakuza 5 has a main story centered around each character’s dreams and sub stories where Kazuma Kiryu drives a rickshaw. After the events in Yakuza 4, Kazuma has been hiding out in Fukuoka and working as a taxicab driver. He gets caught up in a kidnapping at some point. How is Kazuma going to save the child?

Akiyama was my favorite in 4. :) glad he’s back

I’d of like them to merge the character from the PSP games into the main plot somehow too but I guess they wanna keep them separate…..oh well. Kinda strange considering they all live in the same area story wise

See, THIS is what GTA needs: dance battles with senior citizens.

In fact, I can’t think of a single open world title that shouldn’t have this feature. I wonder if this means the dance minigame, who I thought was exclusive to the girl, maybe played by others. If so… Yakuza Dance Central may be closer to reality than I dared dream.

When I saw that I realized that was the most amazing thing I had seen about a Yakuza game. Ever.

Who DOESN’T want to have dance battles with senior citizens?

  • Neppygear

Want this in my life. Need this in my life.

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

If this doesn’t make it to America I don’t know what I’ll do. From the looks of it, the next generation can wait.

People are clamming so much for next gen but if we can barely get decent games this gen (that don’t crash) that aren’t even maximizing the hardware or because the production costs to make  said games scare the hell out of most developers so they in turn just run to making handheld games instead…what’s the rush?

      • Elvick

Performance is tied to the console’s capabilities as well. I’m sure, overall, if developers switched focus to performance the current standard for graphics would be much lower. Since they wouldn’t be focusing on making their game pretty, before making it run well.

Personally, I would have been fine with last gen graphics with more AA forever. I’m a minority.

Anyhoo~ I hope the Yakuza collection is localized because I’ve been holding out for that to start this series. Now that it exists, I just need a localization and they’ve got my support.
