By Spencer . November 13, 2012 . 6:51pm

bbLet’s get this out of the way first – BlazeBlue: Chrono Phantasma is not coming to Nintendo 3DS. This article is about BlayzeBloo: Clone Phantasma the super deformed incarnations of the BlazBlue characters.

Arc System Works made a BlayzeBloo beat ’em up for DSiWare about two years ago. We’re going to see SD Ragna the Bloodedge again in BlayzeBloo: Clone Phantasma for the Nintendo 3DS. Famitsu reports this action game will feature popular characters from the series.

BlayzeBloo: Clone Phantasma is slated fore release this winter, but it isn’t clear if it’s a 3DSWare game or a full retail title.

Update: More details are out care of Famitsu. BlayzeBloo: Clone Phantasma has ten playable characters, seven stages, and a wacky story mode.

Update 2: BlayzeBloo: Clone Phantasma is a downloadable game. A scan from Famitsu shows Ragna, Noel, and Jin are in the game.

  • Well this is uh…

  • Maia Kasoya

Is this BlayzeBloo gonna feature more characters?

    • I think we all know who’s gonna be the next new super deformed spokesman in BlayzeBloo.

  • Lunir Malheur

I tried the first BlazyBloo and it’s not bad but… not ok either, I would prefer they made a Chrono Phantasma version of 3DS but, ¡Oh well! those are excellent news, hope to see it soon (:

    • sherimae1324

i think thats not possible nee-sama, cuz some devs take the 3ds to be some sort of a kids platform, for ex. project mirai……
i dont have anything against chibis or super deformed chars. but please there’s a REAL hatsune miku project diva on VITA and sega gave 3DS a chibi one….. sigh….

      • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Well the chibi one is also quite nice there as they appeal to group of people who likes cute things.(Like me.^_^)

So each for their own market.^_^

        • sherimae1324

yeah… its cute however….. besides i played nendoroid generation for psp ^_^

but too-much chibis is sometimes annoying ^_^

      • ronin4life

The chibi-ness didn’t hurt mirai; the fact that it lacked content compared to other entries did though.

I have only played the demo of mirai and have never played any other hatsune miku game, but I do know that the psp entries had song makers and more songs in general that mirai lacked.

    • Kris

I’m kinda in the same boat, but I ended up liking Blayzbloo as a cute experiment. If this Chrono Phantasma is a bit more polished and fully-featured, I could see myself really enjoying it!

  • anthony apduhan

So it’s basically Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma but with super deformed versions of the playable characters?

    • Fidelis

not at all. Look up the first Blayzebloo, the gameplay is totally different. Also, there’s only ten characters in this whereas the main game will have nearly double that

  • Safros9

So… if there’s a Chrono Phantasma releasing on the 3DS, then I suppose (hoping really) that there will also be a Chrono Phantasma on Vita.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

The first Blayzebloo is nice even though it had very little content compared to Blazblue.

Hope this one will be able to give more funny story on all the character there.^_^

  • MrJechgo

Ugh… care to explain why the 3DS gets THAT instead of the REAL game ?!? The 3DS version of BlazBlue CS was decent, albeit the lack of a sleep mode and an online mode, because it was a port from the PSP version which didn’t have an online mode to begin with.

Put CP on the 3DS with a sleep mode, an online mode and the feature to receive DLC, and you’re good to go. Hell, that game sounds more like a minigame for CP than a full-fledged game.

  • Yuriangels

so is it a fighting because its soooooooooo cute!!! (^^)

  • I actually enjoyed BlayzBloo on DSi, it was fun for the few bucks it cost. Will pick this one up.

  • Theofratus Joseph Lester

I still say they should call it Phantasm instead of Phantasma, but that’s just me.

  • Elvick

Didn’t like the DSiware game. If this improves more on it, then I’ll give it another go. I liked the concept.
