By Spencer . November 13, 2012 . 8:26pm

dmcCapcom will release a DmC Devil May Cry demo on November 21, according to Famitsu. The magazine says it will be different from the Tokyo Game Show demo, but it isn’t clear how Capcom changed it.

DmC Devil May Cry is scheduled to come out on January 15, 2013.

  • Finally a demo, now I can see if this game is worth getting.

  • Fidelis

    uh oh

  • Godman

I’ll be sure to try this out so I can get a feel for myself.

  • Herok♞

I am definitely going to try this out to see if it really deserves hate or it has been people being irrational like always.

    • FitzpatrickPhillips

It’s most likely the latter. Can’t wait to play it.

    • kupomogli

I’m going to try it out just so I can be irrational.

This game has really only received the hate because of the character. The game looks pretty good. I don’t like the emo Dante look but game looks good. Thanks to the prerelease DLC I’m not getting the game regardless though. Not into purchasing incomplete games.

Resident Evil 6 on the other hand. If the people have atleast played the demo which both demos weren’t small by any means, they have a right to be upset. The game is garbage.

      • MrRobbyM

I’m in the same boat except I actually like the new Dante. Not prefer, just like. I also don’t think the game is incomplete as much as it’s just missing something important it could of had(for free).

Gotta agree about RE6 though. I was looking forward to the game but both demos turned me off almost immediately.

        • Brandon Dutko

Which is funny because, I don’t have RE6 yet, but I got to witness everyone whine about it, and after playing the demo I felt more at ease and thought people were crazy, since I loved the demo.

          • MrRobbyM

            Yeah. I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad game, I just didn’t like it.

I didn’t like the new menu system but it did look cool. I can’t quite pinpoint it but but I think it’s the controls and the way the characters reacts to inputs. The camera position might have something to do with it. The game just didn’t *feel* right to me. The mini QTEs were kind of annoying too.

Everything else about the demos were fine. I like the setting, story, voice acting, graphics, blah blah. Just not the gameplay I guess.

      • Kris

The DLC isn’t done though… I mean, it’s not going to be day-one, it’s not on-disc, and if it was never announced, nobody would be calling the game incomplete. :P

      • Nemesis_Dawn

I personally think Leon’s campaign was awesome. This, however, I do not feel that way about, but I am perfectly willing to let the demo change my mind.

      • Brandon Dutko

Meanwhile, I played the RE6 demo and didn’t understand why people didn’t like it.

Seems mostly like people just hating it because it’s *not* Resident Evil (which it isn’t), but I had fun playing all 3 campaigns in the demo, so I don’t know what to say.

  • Voltech44

“A storm is approaching…” –Arkham, Devil May Cry 3

Well, looks like it’s about time to see if this game is up to snuff.  I’m ready to give it a fair shake, and ready for a welcome surprise; I just hope that it doesn’t end up being the betrayal everyone pinned it as.

November 21st…now I’m motivated!  (Also, awaiting this demo so it can lay my fears to rest.)

  • HassanJamal

Cool, gonna try it out :D This game is strangely enough giving me an Alice: Madness Returns vibe

  • z_merquise

Metal Gear Rising demo already convinced me to get it day 1 and now I play it most of the time because it’s really fun.

This game is really looking good from the trailers and gameplay videos I’ve seen so I’m looking forward to play it and hoping that it won’t disappoint.

  • Nemesis_Dawn

Well, I will admit I have not seen a single thing I like about the game up until this point, so much so that I’ve stopped posting comments about it when there are articles here, because I know a dissenting opinion on it gets you banned.

However, I am perfectly willing to give the demo a try and if the gameplay is better than DMC3, I will certainly pick this game up day one, despite hating every aspect of the story, characters, and design.

    • puchinri

      That’s a logical way to approach it~.

I would say the same, but picking up something that I roll my eyes at as an English major (and that has condescended my gender for show), that’d go against my person. Do tell whether or not you’ll be picking it up after the demo though!

    • Domii

“if the gameplay is better than DMC3, I will certainly pick this game up day one”

You’re setting yourself up for disappointment by having such extremely high expectations.

  • Hell yeah.

Dante still looks goofy as heck, but a free demo is a free demo.

    • Superior Spider-Man

should a demo be payed for?

      • puchinri

People have charged for demos before, or at least said they would. Indeed, they should be free, but that does not mean they will be.

      • Kris

I bought ZOE HD mostly for the Metal Gear Rising demo after hearing how poor the conversion quality was…

        WORTH IT.

  • Nitraion

This is very important moment for either neutral or hater…
    a demo and i can’t wait….

  • Göran Isacson

And so, we’ll see if this is going to turn out to be one hell of a party, or if they were so eager to put their version out they forgot all about the preparations for a proper bash. At this point I don’t know whether to be excited or exacarbated, so… I guess come November 21st, we’ll all have to see.

Unless this demo is for some reason not available in Europe, in which case I will not see.

    • puchinri

      The bash line was at one of my most favorite parts of the game. ;u;

      • Göran Isacson

Ha ha yes, even if Vergil sounds much more stilted, it was nice to see he also had a sense of humor about things.

        • puchinri

Indeed~. And really, sounding stilted just fits his character more. Doesn’t stop the sexy or badassery either. ♥

  • eilegz

demo its such a double edge sword  in re6 it makes it looks like the game its unpolish, buggy and somehow bad…. but the final product was great, too bad that got bashed…. in DmC it could convince people to get it…. lets see how it goes, but the “dante”, plot and vergil dlc alienate me more to wait than anything else

  • AaqibRawat

this demo could sell the game to many…….

or completely destroy any chance it being bought by a customer!:P

i will give it a chance,

I can not wait to hear people’s thoughts and feedback on the game !
